<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/asus/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">ASUS </a>has officially brought its Ascent GX10 mini PC to India. This is a new AI workstation that is powered by Nvidia&#8217;s advanced GB10 superchip, a ridiculous amount of RAM, and more, packed in a compact form factor. So here&#8217;s everything you need to know.</p>

<h2>ASUS Ascent GX10: What makes it special?</h2>

<p>The Taiwanese brand had previously <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/10/21/this-asus-mini-pc-is-a-personal-ai-supercomputer-1000-tflops-128gb-ram/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">unveiled the ASUS Ascent GX10 mini PC</a> in the global market. Now, this model has just been released in India. ASUS packs the Ascent GX10 with impressive hardware like the Nvidia GB10 SoC, which features 10 Cortex-A925 and 10 Cortex-A725 cores with 1,000 TFLOPS or 1 petaFLOP of AI performance. Nvidia&#8217;s superchip is coupled with 128GB of LPDDR5X unified system memory and up to 4TB of SSD storage.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="615" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/ASUS-Ascent-GX10-Mini-PC-1024x615.jpg?x23692" alt="ASUS Ascent GX10 Mini PC" class="wp-image-711941" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/ASUS-Ascent-GX10-Mini-PC-1024x615.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/ASUS-Ascent-GX10-Mini-PC-300x180.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/ASUS-Ascent-GX10-Mini-PC-768x461.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/ASUS-Ascent-GX10-Mini-PC-696x418.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/ASUS-Ascent-GX10-Mini-PC-1068x641.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/ASUS-Ascent-GX10-Mini-PC-700x420.jpg 700w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/ASUS-Ascent-GX10-Mini-PC.jpg 1266w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>ASUS Ascent GX10 Mini PC</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>These beefy specs are housed in a tiny body that measures just 5.9 x 5.9 x 2.0 inches in dimensions and weighs just 1.48 kilograms. With the tiny workstation, ASUS is targeting professional users, especially those who work with AI models, developers, AI researchers, and data scientists. So basically, anyone who works with large amounts of data. The brand also states that you can pair two of these mini supercomputers to boost the performance. </p>

<p>Other notable features include WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5, Nvidia DGX OS with Ubuntu Linux, a robust heat dissipation system, and a health selection of ports. The ASUS Ascent GX10 was just announced in the Indian market for an exorbitant price tag of Rs 450,000 (roughly 5,046 US Dollars). It will be available for purchase starting next month. In related news, the company just <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/11/18/asus-proart-p16-launches-as-one-of-the-most-powerful-creator-laptops-yet/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">dropped the new ASUS ProArt P16</a> as one of the most powerful creator laptops yet.</p>

However, the future looks grim. According to the latest forecast <a href="https://www.idc.com/getdoc.jsp?containerId=prUS48181921">report</a> from IDC Worldwide Quarterly Personal Computing Device Tracker, PC shipments are expected to drop off in 2022.</span></p>
<p><span data-preserver-spaces="true">As per the report, the worldwide shipments of PCs are expected to rise 14.2%, with 347 million units shipped in 2021. However, this is lower than IDC&#8217;s earlier forecast, which suggested 18% growth. IDC suggests that the constraints and logistical challenges are the main reason behind the dip in numbers. The tablet market is also expected to grow slowly at 3.4%. </span></p>
<p><span data-preserver-spaces="true">&#8220;We continue to believe the PC and tablet markets are supply-constrained and that demand is still there,&#8221; said Ryan Reith, program vice president with IDC&#8217;s Worldwide Mobile Device Tracker. &#8220;The lengthening of the supply shortages combined with ongoing logistical issues are presenting the industry with some big challenges.&#8221;</span></p>
<p><figure id="attachment_408602" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-408602" style="width: 537px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" class="wp-image-408602 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/prUS48181921-F-1.png?x23692" alt="IDC PC Shipment" width="537" height="416" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/prUS48181921-F-1.png 537w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/prUS48181921-F-1-300x232.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 537px) 100vw, 537px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-408602" class="wp-caption-text">Source: IDC</figcaption></figure></p>
<p><span data-preserver-spaces="true">By 2025, traditional PCs, including desktops, notebooks, and workstations, are expected to have a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 3.2%. IDC says that &#8220;despite short-term supply constraints related to panels and ICs, notebook PCs will remain the main driver of future PC growth.&#8221; Meanwhile, tablet shipments are expected to decline by 1.5%.</span></p>
<p><span data-preserver-spaces="true">In November 2019, IDC predicted a total market of 367 million units in 2023. But as per the current predictions, IDC expects over half a billion units of personal computing devices to be shipped in 2023. The market is expected to dip in 2022 and rise again in 2023, but the numbers would be lower than 2021. </span></p>
<p><span data-preserver-spaces="true">The report suggests that consumer spending habits will shift towards travel and leisure instead of spending their money on technology. However, the numbers could still be more than expected if many had not spent the last few months on PCs.</span></p>

The Chinese tech giant recently launched a new workstation desktop that features its proprietary <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/kunpeng/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Kunpeng</a> processor, which was made to rival other <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/intel/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Intel</a> Xeon based models.</p>
<p>For those unaware, Huawei has been offering workstation high performance processors for desktops through its Kunpeng 920 series since 2018. These powerhouses were built with productivity in mind and were developed by the company&#8217;s subsidiary <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/hisilicon/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">HiSilicon</a>, who also designed their signature <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/hisilicon-kirin/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Kirin</a> mobile processors as well.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-339081 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Screenshot-106.png?x23692" alt="Huawei" width="1202" height="674" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Screenshot-106.png 1202w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Screenshot-106-300x168.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Screenshot-106-768x431.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Screenshot-106-1024x574.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Screenshot-106-696x390.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Screenshot-106-1068x599.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Screenshot-106-749x420.png 749w" sizes="(max-width: 1202px) 100vw, 1202px" /></p>
<p>However, despite being capable, these chips had yet to receive proper support and optimization for different software a professional might require. So, Huawei recently started offering Kunpeng based workstation PCs to developers. Now, the Huawei Qingyun W510 has been launched with the HiSilicon Kunpeng 920-3211K SoC that features 24 cores that run at 2.6GHz, which are based on HiSilicon’s proprietary Armv8.2-compatible Taishan v110 cores.</p>

<p>Furthermore, the workstation is equipped with <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/amd/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">AMD</a>&#8216;s Radeon 520 GPU and 8GB of DDR4 RAM and 512GB of SSD storage. Huawei is also bundling the new workstation with a 23.8 inch FHD monitor. Through this offering, the company is targetting the Chinese government, as well as local enterprises, which is the reason why runs the latest <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/deepin-linux/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Deepin</a> OS and not <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/windows/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Microsoft&#8217;s Windows</a>. At the moment, it is only available for developers, but the company will soon make the push to the commercial market.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-339082 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Huawei-Qingyun-W510.png?x23692" alt="Huawei" width="1280" height="720" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Huawei-Qingyun-W510.png 1280w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Huawei-Qingyun-W510-300x169.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Huawei-Qingyun-W510-768x432.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Huawei-Qingyun-W510-1024x576.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Huawei-Qingyun-W510-696x392.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Huawei-Qingyun-W510-1068x601.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Huawei-Qingyun-W510-747x420.png 747w" sizes="(max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px" /></p>
<p>Notably, the Kunpeng 920 series chip was originally meant for servers and supported an octa-channel DDR4-2933 memory, two 100GbE controllers, 40 PCIe 4.0 lanes with CCIX support, 16 SAS 3.0 ports, two SATA 3.0 ports, and four USB 3.0 connectors. Although, this particular variant was designed as a workstation, so had its 32 cores cut down, to offer a similar performance to an Intel Core i9-9900K. Unfortunately, these Kunpeng chips were manufactured by <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/tsmc/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">TSMC</a> (on its 7nm process), so it remains to be seen how the company will source these chips <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/08/17/us-reinforces-restrictions-on-huaweis-access-to-chips-and-other-tech/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">after recent US sanctions</a>.</p>

Asus made a big impression with its ProArt Series that, besides the desktop and monitor, includes 3 laptops.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h4><strong>Asus ProArt Station D940MX</strong></h4>
<p>Taking advantage of the evolution in hardware power that comes in a smaller package, Asus ProArt Station D940MX is a workstation-grade desktop that sports a just 8-liter chassis which makes it one of the smallest out there. Asus chose to go with Intel&#8217;s latest CPUs so it is powered by Intel&#8217;s 9th Gen CPUs and can be equipped with up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM. As for the GPU, two options are available: Either the Nvidia Quadro RTX 4000 or RTX 2080 Ti. Of course, a pro-workstation must come with a fast storage option so the D940MX comes with a 512GB PCIe SSD and an 1TB hard drive.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Asus-ProArt-Station-D940MX.jpg?x23692"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-274567" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Asus-ProArt-Station-D940MX.jpg?x23692" alt="Asus ProArt" width="800" height="513" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Asus-ProArt-Station-D940MX.jpg 980w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Asus-ProArt-Station-D940MX-300x192.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Asus-ProArt-Station-D940MX-768x492.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Asus-ProArt-Station-D940MX-696x446.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Asus-ProArt-Station-D940MX-655x420.jpg 655w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></a></p>
<p>Connectivity is taken care of the dual Thunderbolt 3 ports on the front panel of the stylish chassis that features an LED indicator at the bottom of the chassis. As far as cooling is concerned, the system uses a 2D vapor chamber and heat pipes for controlling the temperatures while the 4 fans help dissipate heat quickly. Also, noise shouldn&#8217;t be a problem since Asus claims it generates up to 37dB of noise at full load. Lastly, it comes with MIL-STD 810G certification.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h4><strong>Asus ProArt Display PA32UCG</strong></h4>
<p>At this year&#8217;s WWDC Apple announced its new ProDisplay addressed at professionals and the new ProArt Display from Asus is the attempt to compete in this market segment. The new PA32UCG monitor claims to be the world&#8217;s 1st HDR 1600 display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The resolution offered is 4K and the mini LED backlight is supposedly capable of offering 1000nits of sustained brightness and 1600nits of peak brightness as well as a contrast ratio of 1.000.000:1.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Asus-ProArt-Display.jpg?x23692"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-274566" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Asus-ProArt-Display.jpg?x23692" alt="Asus ProArt Display" width="800" height="450" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Asus-ProArt-Display.jpg 1200w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Asus-ProArt-Display-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Asus-ProArt-Display-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Asus-ProArt-Display-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Asus-ProArt-Display-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Asus-ProArt-Display-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Asus-ProArt-Display-747x420.jpg 747w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></a></p>
<p>In addition, it supports HDR 10, HLG, and Dolby Vision with the panel using Quantum Dot technology and offers DCI-P3, Adobe RGB, sRGB, Rec. 709 and Rec. 2020 color spaces and 10-bit color depth. There is no need for calibration as it comes pre-calibrated from the factory and, according to Asus, it has a Delta-E rating of less than 1.0. Refresh rate, on the other hand, can vary from 48Hz to 120Hz which usually benefits game development workflows. Finally, it comes with plenty of connectivity options as there are 2x Thunderbolt 3 ports, 1x DisplayPort, 3x HDMI ports, and a built-in USB hub.</p>
