ASUS‘s latest mini PC is a powerhouse in AI computing. The Ascent GX10 was just launched with a tiny form factor, but the internals pack cutting edge features that make it more powerful than your average workstation, thanks to Nvidia’s GB10 superchip. So here’s what we know.

Meet the ASUS Ascent GX10 Mini PC

The Taiwanese PC giant’s Ascent GX10 was just announced with a small footprint, measuring just 5.9 x 5.9 x 2.0 inches in dimensions. But despite its tiny build, the mini PC houses impressive horsepower. It is equipped with the Nvidia GB10 SoC with 10 Cortex-A925 and 10 Cortex-A725 cores with 1,000 TFLOPS of AI performance, which has ASUS label it as a “personal AI supercomputer”.

ASUS is targeting professional users with this device, especially for users who work with AI models. With the Nvidia superchip, one can work with such models locally. That’s not all, this SoC is coupled with a whopping 128GB of LPDDR5X RAM. You also get four M.2 2242 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSDs for storage. While the 1,000 TFLOPS is a big number, the actual output might vary considering its size. Regardless, the Ascent GX10 mini PC should be able to deal with large amounts of data.

One can even pair multiple models to boost the performance. So the ASUS Ascent GX10 mini PC is well suited for developers, AI researchers, and data scientists. The company ensures good thermal performance thanks to its advanced engineering and twin 140 x 80mm fans that draw air through the bottom. This release also arrives after the brand unveiled the ExpertCenter PN54-S1, which is another mini PC that is powered by AMD’s Ryzen AI 200 series processors.
