<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/xiaomi/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi</a>’s latest flagship, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-15s-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">15S Pro</a>, has been making headlines for being the first to ship with an in-house system-on-chip, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/30/xring-o1-review-next-stop-world-no-1-xiaomi-15s-pro-performance-test/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">XRING O1</a>. But that’s not the only in-house silicon inside the 15S Pro.</p>

<p>The XRING O1 is joined by the company’s in-house XP2210C power management chip and the Surge P3 wired charging IC. Despite these efforts, Xiaomi still relies on a long list of familiar suppliers to get the 15S Pro out the door.&nbsp;</p>

<p>To uncover those suppliers, Counterpoint Research did a teardown of the Xiaomi 15S Pro—and here’s what they found.</p>

<h2><strong>Here’s a sneak peek at Xiaomi 15s Pro internals</strong></h2>

<p>The teardown reveals that SK Hynix provides the latest LPDDR5T RAM for the smartphone. It uses the Package-on-Package (PoP) integration method for a more compact hardware design. UFS 4.1 storage, meanwhile, comes from Micron.</p>

<p>On the connectivity side, Xiaomi is stuck with MediaTek. The 15S Pro uses the T800 (MT6980W) modem, the MT6639BEW Wi-Fi/Bluetooth chip, and the MT6195W RF transceiver. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="504" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Xiaomi-15s-Pro-Parts-Suppliers.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-693492" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Xiaomi-15s-Pro-Parts-Suppliers.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Xiaomi-15s-Pro-Parts-Suppliers-300x168.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Xiaomi-15s-Pro-Parts-Suppliers-768x430.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Xiaomi-15s-Pro-Parts-Suppliers-696x390.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Xiaomi-15s-Pro-Parts-Suppliers-750x420.jpg 750w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>The Dutch-American company NXP handles both the NFC and UWB components. Whereas, audio is handled by Cirrus Logic, an American semiconductor business.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Other players in the Xiaomi 15S Pro’s hardware ecosystem include Southchip Semiconductor for secondary charging, NuVolta for wireless charging, Vanchip for RF modules, and STMicroelectronics for sensors.</p>

<p>So even though Xiaomi is taking some steps toward chip independence, it still relies on a broad network of component makers to bring its flagship to life. That’s not surprising, though.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Hardware companies often rarely build everything in-house. And for a phone at this price point, Xiaomi is choosing premium partners without blowing up its budget.</p>

<p>The Xiaomi 15S Pro definitely has an important spot in the history of Chinese smartphones. Not that its camera is exceptionally powerful or the screen is incredibly good, but simply because the SoC inside is Xiaomi&#8217;s best and self-developed processor. Compared to other flagship processors, what can the XRING O1 bring us, and what might be less competent?</p>

<p>Compared to the sibling, the 15 Pro, a phone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite, we can clearly see where the XRING O1&#8217;s CPU, GPU, NPU, and ISP stand on the global stage. </p>

<h3><strong>Hardware Specifications</strong></h3>

<p>To understand the performance of the XRING O1, we must check the inside first. This is the dieshot of the XRING O1. Thanks to TSMC&#8217;s N3E process, this chip achieves a remarkably high level of integration. Compared to other flagship SoCs, its die area is even smaller.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1920" height="1080" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174457.410.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-689299" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174457.410.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174457.410-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174457.410-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174457.410-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174457.410-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174457.410-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174457.410-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174457.410-747x420.jpg 747w" sizes="(max-width: 1920px) 100vw, 1920px" /></figure>

<p>However, the trade-off is that the modem is not integrated into the chipset. The XRING O1 uses a standalone MediaTek T800 modem chipset instead of Xiaomi’s in-house Surge T-series modem. After all, it even took six years for a giant like Apple to have its first 5G modem. So Xiaomi still has a long way to go in the 5G modem race.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1920" height="1080" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174458.976.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-689300" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174458.976.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174458.976-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174458.976-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174458.976-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174458.976-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174458.976-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174458.976-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174458.976-747x420.jpg 747w" sizes="(max-width: 1920px) 100vw, 1920px" /></figure>

<p>The CPU unit sits on the upper half of the dieshot. It features 10 cores across four different ARM architectures and clock speeds. Apart from the two A520 cores, all others use ARM’s latest and most advanced architectures. The CPU’s peak frequency can reach an impressive 3.9 GHz.</p>

<p>The GPU unit is also unusually large, packing a 16-core ARM G925 GPU—even more ridiculous than the Dimensity 9400’s 12-core GPU. Benchmark tests reveal that the XRING O1&#8217;s CPU performance slightly outperforms the Snapdragon 8 Elite, while its GPU falls just a tad behind the 8 Elite.</p>

<p>On paper alone, the XRING O1 already has what it takes to compete with Apple, Qualcomm, and MediaTek. But whether it can truly win depends on real-world gaming performance. For the 15S Pro, we prepared three games to test the overall experience and power efficiency under different workloads.</p>

<h3><strong>Performance &amp; Gaming Tests</strong></h3>

<p>Let’s start with the highest load game—Honkai: Star Rail. Although the processor begins throttling after 4 minutes, the frame rate gradually drops to 40 FPS and stabilizes, resulting in a relatively smooth gaming experience. Both temperature and power consumption are well-controlled, placing it firmly in the &#8220;excellent&#8221; category.</p>

<p>In contrast, the 15 Pro’s performance falls short. Whether in average power consumption, temperature, or frame rate, it fails to outperform the XRING-powered 15S Pro. Additionally, the 15 Pro shows significant frame rate fluctuations, making stutters noticeably perceptible during gameplay.</p>

<p>I believe Xiaomi has optimized this game specifically for the 15S Pro, with the XRING O1 playing a key role in delivering such a substantial improvement in gaming performance.</p>

<p>For flagship phones, Genshin Impact is no longer a particularly demanding game—both devices handle it effortlessly at a stable 60 FPS over extended sessions. Our focus here is on power efficiency and thermal performance. Once again, the 15S Pro wins; it can maintain similar frame rates while running cooler and more efficiently. The same trend continues in PUBG Mobile, with almost the same result.</p>

</figure>

<p>With Wi-Fi, the XRING O1’s power and thermal management are truly world-class, offering slightly better gaming performance than the Snapdragon 8 Elite. So why do I say &#8221; With Wi-Fi&#8221;? Because the XRING O1 lacks an integrated 5G modem.</p>

<h3><strong>5G Modem &amp; Battery Life</strong></h3>

<p>Since the 15S Pro&#8217;s modem is a chipset separate from the SoC, its power consumption on 5G networks is inevitably higher than devices with integrated modems. But exactly how much higher? I ran some tests, under the same conditions, when switching from Wi-Fi to 5G gaming, the 15S Pro&#8217;s average power consumption was higher than the 15 Pro&#8217;s.</p>

<div><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174541.577.jpg?x44794" class="td-modal-image"><figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1920" height="1080" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174541.577.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-689308" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174541.577.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174541.577-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174541.577-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174541.577-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174541.577-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174541.577-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174541.577-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174541.577-747x420.jpg 747w" sizes="(max-width: 1920px) 100vw, 1920px" /></figure></a></div>

<p>I also tested daily Apps like video calls and TikTok on 5G networks. The 15S Pro&#8217;s power consumption was consistently higher, too.</p>

<div><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174543.257.jpg?x44794" class="td-modal-image"><figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1920" height="1080" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174543.257.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-689309" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174543.257.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174543.257-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174543.257-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174543.257-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174543.257-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174543.257-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174543.257-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174543.257-747x420.jpg 747w" sizes="(max-width: 1920px) 100vw, 1920px" /></figure></a></div>

<p>So when some people ask me about the Xiaomi 15S Pro&#8217;s battery life, I can only say it depends on your usage environment. If you&#8217;re mostly in Wi-Fi environments, then the 15S Pro&#8217;s battery life will outperform the 15 Pro&#8217;s. On the contrary, when going from 100% to empty on 5G networks, the 15S Pro&#8217;s battery life lasts about half an hour shorter than the 15 Pro&#8217;s.</p>

<h3><strong>ISP</strong></h3>

<p>The XRING O1&#8217;s ISP significantly impacts camera performance, both positively and negatively. Let&#8217;s start with the positives.</p>

<p>The most improved camera on the 15S Pro is this 5x telephoto camera, with very accurate white balance. And the weaker the light, the greater the advantage. The main camera&#8217;s dynamic range is also better, there are more details in highlights. Videos are sharper with less cropping. So the image stabilization becomes weaker.</p>

<p>In low light, the 15S Pro&#8217;s exposure will be higher. At 30fps, it may not be very noticeable, but when switching to 4K 60fps, you can clearly see the XRING&#8217;s advantage.</p>

<p>Unfortunately, the 15S Pro&#8217;s Leica tone has been weakened again, with not as high contrast. And the green problem in the night scene has also appeared on the 15S Pro&#8217;s ultra-wide camera, while the 15 Pro&#8217;s white balance is done very well. The viewfinder also underexposes in low light, and the clarity drops significantly.</p>

<p> I would say the O1&#8217;s ISP isn&#8217;t as powerful as imagined &#8211; it still needs some time to defeat Qualcomm.</p>

<h3><strong>Bluetooth &amp; NPU</strong></h3>

<p>Music enthusiasts may worry about aptX-related Bluetooth protocols not being available on the 15S Pro. Xiaomi certainly wouldn&#8217;t disappoint earbuds users &#8211; they&#8217;ve licensed nearly all mainstream Bluetooth protocols. Whatever works on the Xiaomi 15 Pro will be the same on the 15S Pro too.</p>

<p>The XRING O1 features a 6-core NPU with 10MB cache, delivering computing power up to 44 TOPS. Although this NPU is powerful, Xiaomi hasn&#8217;t utilized it for many features. Xiaomi HyperAI still can&#8217;t work offline &#8211; all AI-related functions become unavailable without an internet connection.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1920" height="1080" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174637.062.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-689320" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174637.062.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174637.062-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174637.062-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174637.062-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174637.062-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174637.062-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174637.062-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174637.062-747x420.jpg 747w" sizes="(max-width: 1920px) 100vw, 1920px" /></figure>

<p>Even when trying to benchmark this NPU&#8217;s AI performance improvements, scores are low due to Apps not being optimized for this new chipset. Hopefully, the HyperAI will be significantly better on the XRING O2 and truly unleash this NPU&#8217;s full potential across more Apps.</p>

<h3><strong>Others</strong></h3>

<p>While carefully testing whether the Xiaomi 15S Pro has other special features compared to the 15 Pro, I did find some differences. For example, the 15S Pro cannot keep AOD (Always-On Display) constantly active.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1920" height="1080" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174645.500.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-689321" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174645.500.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174645.500-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174645.500-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174645.500-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174645.500-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174645.500-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174645.500-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174645.500-747x420.jpg 747w" sizes="(max-width: 1920px) 100vw, 1920px" /></figure>

<p>The ray tracing performance of XRING O1 also falls short of the Snapdragon 8 Elite. Using Geekerwan&#8217;s ray tracing demo for testing, the frame rate difference is significant.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1920" height="1080" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174649.580.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-689322" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174649.580.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174649.580-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174649.580-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174649.580-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174649.580-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174649.580-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174649.580-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-Review_1.mp4_20250530_174649.580-747x420.jpg 747w" sizes="(max-width: 1920px) 100vw, 1920px" /></figure>

<p>However, XRING excels in other areas, such as HDR video decoding, WiFi-7 support, and GMS compatibility &#8211; these show very little difference compared to phones using Qualcomm chips.</p>

<h3><strong>Conclusion</strong></h3>

<p>So, the XRING O1 has undoubtedly become one of the world&#8217;s most powerful mobile processors. It is excellent in nearly all aspects, with only one notable weakness: subpar battery life on 5G networks. The good news is that Xiaomi has already developed a 4G modem, currently used in their smartwatches. Integrating a 5G modem into XRING is just a matter of time. The birth of the Xiaomi 15S Pro is to show the world that Xiaomi can develop its own chips &#8211; and do it just as well as anyone else.</p>

<p>XRING O2 is already on the way, with a clear goal this time: to become the world&#8217;s number one mobile platform. The Xiaomi 15S Pro will likely not have a global release, so if you&#8217;re a Xiaomi fan wanting to support the XRING team, you can check it out at GeekWills. </p>

<p>After weeks of rumors and teasers, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/22/xiaomi-15s-pro-launched-china-specs-price/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi finally unveiled the Xiaomi 15S Pro</a>. It is a new flagship smartphone that carries the brand&#8217;s self developed mobile chipset. The device carries the new XRing O1 along with premium specs and features. So here&#8217;s a quick comparison against the older Xiaomi 15 Pro to see how the Xiaomi 15S Pro is different from the other flagship phone.</p>

<h3>Xiaomi 15S Pro vs Xiaomi 15 Pro: Design &amp; Display</h3>

<p>The Chinese tech giant&#8217;s latest Xiaomi 15S Pro is a high end device, but it is surprisingly similar to the previously <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/10/29/xiaomi-15-pro-launched-china-specs-price/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">announced Xiaomi 15 Pro</a>. One area where this is most noticeable is the design and display. Xiaomi&#8217;s new 15S Pro sports an identical screen to the regular 15 Pro. So you get a 6.73-inch 2K LTPO OLED curved display, a 120Hz refresh rate, 3200 nits of peak brightness, and Xiaomi Ceramic Glass protection 2.0.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="640" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-1024x640.png?x44794" alt="Xiaomi 15S Pro" class="wp-image-688111" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-1024x640.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-300x188.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-768x480.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-696x435.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-1068x668.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-672x420.png 672w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-15S-Pro.png 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Xiaomi 15S Pro</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The overall form factor and size are also quite similar, but there are slight differences in the color options. Xiaomi announced the 15 Pro in Rock ash, White, Spruce Green and Bright Silver variants, while the 15S Pro is available in Dragon scale fiber version and Far Sky Blue variants. The fiber variant has a different texture on the rear panel.</p>

<h3>Performance</h3>

<p>The key highlight of the Xiaomi 15S Pro and its notable difference is undoubtedly the SoC under the hood. The Xiaomi 15 Pro is a cutting edge Android flagship that packs Qualcomm&#8217;s latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 Elite. However, the Xiaomi 15S Pro is the first from the company to feature the XRing O1 chipset. This is an in-house processor that even managed to <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/21/xiaomi-15s-pros-xring-o1-outscores-snapdragon-8-elite-on-antutu/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">outperform the Snapdragon 8 Elite on AnTuTu</a>. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-XRING-01-chip-1.jpg?x44794" alt="Xiaomi-XRING-01-chip-1" class="wp-image-686897" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-XRING-01-chip-1.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-XRING-01-chip-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-XRING-01-chip-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-XRING-01-chip-1-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-XRING-01-chip-1-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /><figcaption>Xiaomi XRing O1</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Keep in mind, a proper real world test would better determine this feat, while the power efficiency and thermal performance have yet to be revealed as well. The XRing O1 is paired with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. So the storage configurations are practically the same as well. Even the battery pack and charging tech are identical, with a massive 6,100mAh cell with 90W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging. </p>

<h3>Pricing</h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="683" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Xiaomi-15-Pro-1024x683.webp?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-666483" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Xiaomi-15-Pro-1024x683.webp 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Xiaomi-15-Pro-300x200.webp 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Xiaomi-15-Pro-768x512.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Xiaomi-15-Pro-1536x1025.webp 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Xiaomi-15-Pro-696x464.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Xiaomi-15-Pro-1068x712.webp 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Xiaomi-15-Pro-1920x1281.webp 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Xiaomi-15-Pro-630x420.webp 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Xiaomi-15-Pro.webp 1946w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Xiaomi 15 Pro</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The Xiaomi 15 Pro was announced with a starting price tag of 5,299 Yuan (roughly 735 US Dollars) for the 12GB + 256GB option. However, the 16GB + 512GB variant and 16GB + 1TB option costs 5,799 Yuan and 6,499 Yuan respectively (roughly 805 and 902 US Dollars). But the Xiaomi 15S Pro has a more competitive pricing as it starts from just 5,499 Yuan (roughly 763 US Dollars) for the 16GB + 512GB variant, while the higher end 16GB + 1TB version costs 5,999 Yuan (roughly 832 US Dollars).</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/xiaomi/">Xiaomi</a>’s in-house Xring O1 SoC, debuting in the Xiaomi 15S Pro, has narrowly surpassed the Snapdragon 8 Elite in an early AnTuTu benchmark, scoring 2,535,163 against 2,515,259. Set for a May 22 launch, it signals Xiaomi’s bold step into flagship chipset competition.</p>

<h2>A lead over the Snapdragon 8 Elite is impressive for a first-gen chip</h2>

<p>Xiaomi is gearing up to unveil its first self-developed SoC, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/19/xiaomi-xring-o1-chip-everything-we-know/">Xring O1</a>, powering the Xiaomi 15S Pro and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/21/xiaomi-pad-7-ultra-teased/">Pad 7 Ultra</a> at its May 22, 2025, event in China, alongside the Xiaomi YU7 SUV. A leaked review video by Chinese creator 阿文鉴机, which was later removed, revealed the Xring O1’s AnTuTu performance, edging out the Snapdragon 8 Elite in the Xiaomi 15 Pro with a score of 2,535,163 to 2,515,259. This 0.79% lead, while modest, is notable for a first-generation chipset from a smartphone manufacturer.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="768" height="432" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/Xiaomi-15S-Pro.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-646282" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/Xiaomi-15S-Pro.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/Xiaomi-15S-Pro-747x420.jpg 747w" sizes="(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /></figure></div>

<p>The Xring O1’s 10-core CPU (2x Cortex-X925 at 3.9GHz, 4x Cortex-A725 at 3.4GHz, 2x Cortex-A725 at 1.89GHz, 2x Cortex-A520 at 1.8GHz) and Mali-G925 Immortalis GPU deliver robust performance, per Geekbench listings scoring 3,119 single-core and 9,673 multi-core, closely trailing the Snapdragon 8 Elite’s 3,089 and 9,405. However, the Snapdragon 8 Elite shines brighter in some devices, like the RedMagic 10S Pro+, which hits over 3.15 million on AnTuTu.</p>

<p>While the Xring O1’s benchmark parity with Qualcomm’s flagship is impressive, questions linger about its efficiency and thermal performance, critical for real-world use. With 16GB RAM, a rumored 6.7-inch 2K OLED, 6,500mAh battery, and 90W charging, the 15S Pro is shaping up to be a premium contender. Will Xiaomi’s chip challenge Qualcomm’s dominance, or will thermals hold it back? We&#8217;re pumped to find out!</p>

The device will feature a 14-inch OLED panel equipped with ultra-thin bezels and a notch possibly supporting 3D facial recognition. Apart from featuring the O1 chip, the tablet is expected to support 120W charging.</p>

<h3><strong>Xring O1 chip enters mass production</strong></h3>

<p>According to Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun, the Xiaomi O1 has now entered mass production, becoming one of the few 3nm chips in the mobile industry. Built on TSMC’s 3nm process, the O1 chip has been under development for years, with Xiaomi reportedly investing over ¥13 billion (~$1.8 billion) in its R&amp;D.</p>

<p>A recent Geekbench listing revealed that the Xring O1 chip uses a 10-core architecture and includes an Immortalis-G925 GPU, designed to deliver flagship-level performance. Benchmark scores for the O1 reach 3119 (single-core) and 9673 (multi-core) on Geekbench.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="600" height="800" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/XIaomi-May-22-launch-event.jpg?x44794" alt="XIaomi May 22 launch event" class="wp-image-687357" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/XIaomi-May-22-launch-event.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/XIaomi-May-22-launch-event-225x300.jpg 225w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/XIaomi-May-22-launch-event-315x420.jpg 315w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /><figcaption>XIaomi May 22 launch event</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The event will see the arrival of <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/15/xiaomi-announces-its-first-self-developed-smartphone-chip-xring-01/">Xiaomi’s self-developed mobile chip</a>, the <strong>Xring 01</strong>, a milestone product that signals the company’s re-entry into the mobile SoC space. The chip will debut inside the new <strong>Xiaomi 15S Pro</strong>, a performance-focused flagship phone.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/18/xiaomi-15s-pro-xring-01-geekbench-performance/">Benchmark figures</a> show the chip runs on a 10-core CPU layout (2 x 3.9GHz + 4 x 3.4GHz + 2 x 1.89GHz + 2 x 1.8GHz) and uses the Immortalis-G925 GPU. It scores 3,119 in single-core and 9,673 in multi-core Geekbench tests, placing it alongside Dimensity 9400 and Snapdragon 8 Elite.</p>

<p>Also launching is the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra, a 14-inch premium tablet with up to 120W wired charging. It supports a 3.2K resolution display with LTPO tech and advanced multi-window features aimed at professionals. The device could be equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset.</p>

<p>Xiaomi will also unveil Xiaomi YU7, the company’s first SUV. It is expected to feature a Saturn-ring style tail-light and dimensions of 4999mm x 1996mm x 1600mm. It includes high-speed performance and dual-motor options with peak output up to 390 horsepower.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="768" height="1024" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xring-01-3nm-768x1024.jpg?x44794" alt="Xring 01 is built with 3nm process" class="wp-image-687358" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xring-01-3nm-768x1024.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xring-01-3nm-225x300.jpg 225w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xring-01-3nm-696x928.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xring-01-3nm-1068x1424.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xring-01-3nm-315x420.jpg 315w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xring-01-3nm.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /><figcaption>Xring 01 is built with 3nm process</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The main focus of the launch is undoubtedly the Xring 01 chip and the Xiaomi 15S Pro, the first phone powered by it. According to Xiaomi, this chip represents the company&#8217;s renewed ambition in the mobile chip market. Designed specifically for flagship-level smartphones, the development of the Xring 01 began after Xiaomi revived its SoC efforts in 2021.</p>

<p>The chip is part of a larger 10-year strategy, backed by an investment of at least 50 billion Yuan (approximately $6.9 billion). As of April 2025, Xiaomi has already invested over 13.5 billion Yuan (roughly $1.9 billion) into chip research and development. This significant financial commitment highlights Xiaomi’s long-term vision to become a serious player in semiconductor innovation.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/xiaomi">Xiaomi</a> recently confirmed that it will officially unveil its <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/15/xiaomi-announces-its-first-self-developed-smartphone-chip-xring-01/">self-developed Xring O1 chipset</a> later this month. While the company has not yet shared the full specifications of the chip, a new Geekbench listing of the alleged Xiaomi 15s Pro reveals some key details. The device could be the first smartphone to feature the new in-house chip.</p>

<h3><strong>Xiaomi 15s Pro Geekbench listing reveals key specs</strong></h3>

<figure class="wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped">
<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="647" height="883" data-id="687273" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/XIaomi-15s-Pro-Geekbench.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-687273" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/XIaomi-15s-Pro-Geekbench.png 647w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/XIaomi-15s-Pro-Geekbench-220x300.png 220w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/XIaomi-15s-Pro-Geekbench-308x420.png 308w" sizes="(max-width: 647px) 100vw, 647px" /></figure>

</figure>

<p>The Xiaomi 15s Pro, carrying the model number 25042PN24C, was earlier spotted on <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/01/27/xiaomi-15s-pros-first-key-detail-is-out-thanks-to-certification/">China’s 3C certification website</a>. Now, it has appeared on the Geekbench database, indicating that the phone is powered by the Xring O1 chipset.</p>

<p>According to the listing, the Xring O1 is a deca-core processor with the following core configuration:</p>

<ul><li>2x high-performance cores at <strong>3.90GHz</strong></li><li>4x performance cores at <strong>3.40GHz</strong></li><li>2x efficiency cores at <strong>1.89GHz</strong></li><li>2x additional efficiency cores at <strong>1.80GHz</strong></li><li>GPU: Mali-G925 Immortalis.</li></ul>

<p>The listing also confirms the device will pack 16GB of RAM and run Android 15 out of the box. The benchmark results are quite impressive:</p>

<ul><li><strong>Single-core score:</strong> 2413</li><li><strong>Multi-core score:</strong> 8068</li><li></li></ul>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-XRING-01-chip-1.jpg?x44794" alt="Xiaomi-XRING-01-chip-1" class="wp-image-686897" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-XRING-01-chip-1.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-XRING-01-chip-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-XRING-01-chip-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-XRING-01-chip-1-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-XRING-01-chip-1-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /><figcaption>Xiaomi Xring 01</figcaption></figure>

<p>The benchmark scores are quite impressive, coming close to what the Snapdragon 8 Elite delivers on Geekbench. Since the 15s Pro is part of Xiaomi’s flagship 15 series, it is expected to offer performance on par with Qualcomm’s top-tier silicon.</p>

<h3><strong>Will the Xring O1 power future Xiaomi 16 series phones?</strong></h3>

<p>According to earlier reports, the Xiaomi 16 and 16 Pro are expected to launch in China in <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/11/xiaomi-16-september-launch-key-specs-tipped/">September 2025 as the first smartphones with the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2</a>. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 16 Ultra and 16s Pro are likely to follow in the first half of 2026. While it’s currently unknown if the Xiaomi 16 Ultra will use Qualcomm’s chip or the Xring O1, speculation suggests that the Xiaomi 16s Pro could adopt Xiaomi’s self-developed chipset — much like the 15s Pro.</p>

<p>On April 6, which marks <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/xiaomi">Xiaomi&#8217;s</a> 15th anniversary, company executives, including founder Lei Jun and co-founder Lin Bin took to social media to celebrate the milestone. In a notable interaction with fans, Lin Bin casually confirmed the existence of an upcoming Xiaomi smartphone – the Xiaomi 15S Pro. This marks the first time the model has been officially acknowledged, though no promotional materials have been shared yet. The details were brought to wider attention by tipster @DigitalChatStation, who highlighted Lin Bin’s response.</p>

<h3><strong>Xiaomi 15S Pro officially confirmed after years of silence on the S series</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="857" height="465" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/image-41.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-680630" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/image-41.png 857w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/image-41-300x163.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/image-41-768x417.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/image-41-696x378.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/image-41-774x420.png 774w" sizes="(max-width: 857px) 100vw, 857px" /><figcaption>Xiaomi 15s Pro officially confirmed</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The Xiaomi 15S Pro will be the brand’s first S-series flagship since the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-12s">Xiaomi 12S</a>, which launched nearly three years ago. According to leaks, it retains the core design elements of the Xiaomi 15 Pro, featuring a 2K quad-curved display and a triple Leica camera setup.</p>

<p>A major enhancement is the battery, which is expected to exceed 6,000mAh in capacity. In addition, the phone will support up to 90W fast charging, as per prior 3C certification listings.</p>

<p>More importantly, reports suggest that Xiaomi may debut its in-house chipset on this device. Built on TSMC’s N4P process, this new SoC uses a standard tri-cluster eight-core layout. Early estimates suggest it could match Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in performance, with the potential to rival Gen 2 depending on optimization.</p>

<p>The Xiaomi 15S Pro could also bring back UWB connectivity, a feature last seen on the Xiaomi MIX 4. This technology enables precise spatial awareness, making it ideal for tasks like unlocking the Xiaomi SU7 EV. Given Xiaomi&#8217;s automotive ambitions, the reintroduction of UWB makes strategic sense. While full specifications remain under wraps, the official confirmation alone signals the imminent arrival of this high-end device, likely later this month.</p>

</figure>

<p>Last month, the phone was spotted on the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/08/20/xiaomi-15s-pros-first-details-leaked/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">IMEI database</a> with 25042PN24C model number, codenamed “dijun.” A leaked photo has now confirmed the existence of the Xiaomi 15S Pro. The leak originated from a Weibo post by a Xiaomi software director, which was later deleted. Tipster Kartikey Singh spotted the post, which included a sample image tagged “Xiaomi 15S Pro.”</p>

<p>According to industry sources, the 15S Pro could launch as early as the second week of April, possibly alongside the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/03/09/xiaomi-pad-7-max-14-leak/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">14-inch Xiaomi Pad 7 Max </a>tablet. While details are still limited, the phone is expected to retain the design of the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro. The main change may come from its chipset, as reports suggest Xiaomi’s proprietary XRING SoC could power the device instead of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processors.</p>

<p>The Xiaomi 15S Pro is likely to retain the Leica-tuned camera system from the Xiaomi 15 Pro, focusing on refinements rather than major changes. With the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/02/20/snapdragon-8-elite-2-dimensity-9500-are-coming-early-and-so-are-the-phones-powered-by-them/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">expected to launch in October</a>, the device will likely feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, aligning with the rest of the Xiaomi 15 series. The device also made an appearance on China’s 3C certification last month, revealing its <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/01/27/xiaomi-15s-pros-first-key-detail-is-out-thanks-to-certification/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">90W fast charging</a> capability. With the launch expected to happen by the second week of April, we can expect more information to surface in the coming days.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/xiaomi/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi</a> launched its last &#8220;S Pro&#8221; smartphone, the <strong><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-12s-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi 12S Pro</a></strong>, back in 2022. The company didn’t follow it up with a successor in the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-13/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi 13</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-14/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">14</a> series, but it looks like we can finally expect one in 2025 with the Xiaomi 15 series.</p>

<p>The Xiaomi 15S Pro has been circulating in the rumor mill for a while now. Back in August, an <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/08/20/xiaomi-15s-pros-first-details-leaked/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">IMEI listing</a> revealed the device’s existence with the model number <strong>25042PN24C</strong> and the codename <strong>&#8220;dijun.&#8221;</strong></p>

<h2><strong>Xiaomi 15S Pro 3C certification</strong></h2>

<p>The same model number has now appeared on the 3C certification site, confirming a key detail: the phone will feature <strong>90W fast charging</strong>, the same as the Xiaomi 15 Pro.</p>

<p>However, one feature missing from the certification details is <strong>satellite communication</strong>. For context, the Xiaomi 15 Pro supports <strong>two-way satellite communication</strong>, but whether the 15S Pro will follow suit remains unclear.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="372" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Xiaomi-15s-Pro-3C-certification.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-670568" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Xiaomi-15s-Pro-3C-certification.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Xiaomi-15s-Pro-3C-certification-300x124.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Xiaomi-15s-Pro-3C-certification-768x317.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Xiaomi-15s-Pro-3C-certification-696x288.jpg 696w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>While the certification provides some insights into the device, key details such as its design, hardware, and potential upgrades remain unknown. The model number starting with <strong>&#8220;2504&#8221;</strong> could suggest an <strong>April 2025 release</strong>, but Xiaomi has yet to make anything official.</p>

<p>Xiaomi, however, has a busy schedule ahead, as it&#8217;s expected to launch the flagship <strong>Xiaomi 15 Ultra</strong> in February. This suggests that the Xiaomi 15S Pro could arrive at a separate event later in the year.</p>

<p>Xiaomi introduced the <strong>12S Pro</strong> as a more premium version of the Xiaomi 12 Pro. It featured a <strong>Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1</strong> chipset instead of the <strong>Snapdragon 8 Gen 1</strong> found in the Xiaomi 12, along with upgrades in camera and display. If the <strong>Xiaomi 15S Pro</strong> follows the same strategy, it could bring refinements and features that differentiate it from the standard <strong>Xiaomi 15 Pro</strong>.As of now, speculation surrounds the device, and Xiaomi hasn’t shared specific details about its plans. However, with <strong>3C certification</strong> in place, the <strong>Xiaomi 15S Pro</strong> seems to be steadily moving closer to an official debut.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/xiaomi/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi </a>is working on the new 15S Pro smartphone. XiaomiTime has spotted the Xiaomi 15S Pro in the IMEI database and found some details. We are curious to see what the Xiaomi 15S Pro will offer. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/06/11/xiaomi-15-key-specifications-leak/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">While the Xiaomi 15</a> and Pro have not yet been unveiled, it might seem strange that we&#8217;re talking about the 15S Pro. But the brand is already testing the Xiaomi 15S Pro.</p>

<h2>The Xiaomi 15S Pro is coming</h2>

<p>The Xiaomi 15S Pro has been spotted in the IMEI database. The model number of the smartphone is 25042PN24C. This smartphone will only be sold in China and is not expected to be sold in other countries. We expect the Xiaomi 15S Pro to be a slightly improved version of the Xiaomi 15 Pro. Because the Xiaomi 15S Pro has the codename “dijun” and while the Xiaomi 15 Pro has the codename “haotian”. Haotian is considered the highest ruler of the heavens. Dijun is a figure considered the goddess of the sun and fertility.</p>

</figure>

<p>The Xiaomi 15 series is expected to be unveiled in October. We don&#8217;t expect the Xiaomi 15S Pro to arrive before 2025. Already the model number starts with “2504”. This means April 2025. Xiaomi 15 and Pro will be launched with HyperOS 2.0. At the same time, the brand will officially announce HyperOS 2.0. On the processor side, the 15S Pro is expected to come with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 4. But this is not definitive information, so we will learn everything over time.</p>

<p>Xiaomi 15 and Pro will be introduced with Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor. The Xiaomi 15 Pro will remain exclusive to China, while the regular Xiaomi 15 will be available in many countries. Like the Xiaomi 15 Pro, the Xiaomi 15S Pro will only be available in China.</p>
