Xiaomi has claimed a record $3.11 billion in sales during this year’s Single Day event. The Chinese powerhouse sold more than 22.4 billion yuan worth of products across leading platforms like JD.com, Tmall, and Douyin. The Singles Day Shopping Festival was from October 23 to November 11.

The Singles Day Shopping Festival has seen a surge in sales over the years and this year was no different for Xiaomi. As a spin to the positive Singles Day showing, Xiaomi’s shares were up by 2% in Hong Kong early on Monday, October 13. Retail platforms have reported improvements in sales volume, order numbers, and participating merchants from last year. Alibaba reported an increase across the major growth metrics while JD.com reported a very strong performance by Apple. There are also little-known entrants in the market who recorded highly impressive results.

Xiaomi is riding on the crest of a highly innovative and fast-expanding product portfolio. The Xiaomi 14 smartphone was rated as the top-selling model in both Alibaba and Tmall from November 4 to 11. Xiaomi’s varied portfolio of tech products also meant it claimed top performance across several categories in multiple retail platforms. Xiaomi says it plans to revise upwards its smartphone shipment forecast in 2023 by 7% and 6% by 2024. This corresponds to a projected 160 million units in 2024.

The Singles Day Shopping festival has grown rapidly from a one-day event to a huge sales spree for several weeks. The impressive Xiaomi performance in this year’s Singles Day sales could also signpost similar performances by other Chinese brands.

Yesterday, Xiaomi released a list of smartphones that will be available for purchase at discounted prices during the Chinese Single’s Day aka Double Eleven sale which is held on the 11th of November each year. The company has recently announced that several of its TVs will also be offered at discount during the Single’s Day Sale. However, this sale will commence from the 1st of November 00:00 AM and will be held on JD.com

The Xiaomi TVs that will be sold at discounted prices starting tomorrow are listed below:

• Redmi TV 70-inch with 4K display: This TV sports ultra-narrow bezels with a glossy piano finish. It is equipped with Amlogic quad-core processor, has 2GB of RAM and 16GB inbuilt storage. The TV runs on Xiaomi’s in house developed PatchWall UI that supports voice-guided input. Its display supports HDR content and boasts of Dolby and DTS-HD audio decoding. During Double 11 sale it will be sold for 2,899 Yuan ($ 410)
• Mi TV 4X 43 inch: Similar to Redmi TV 70, it has ultra-narrow bezels with a glossy piano finish. The display panel has 1920*1080 pixel resolution and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. It is equipped with an ARM Multi-Core processor which clocked at 1.5GHz, with 1GB RAM and 8GB of ROM. It runs on PatchWall system has 2 HDMI ports, 2 USB ports, and 1 network port.
  
  During Double 11 sale it will be sold for 999 Yuan ($ 140)
• Mi TV 4A 70 inch: This TV was launched the month of September earlier this year. It is equipped with a 70 inch 4K display. It has 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of ROM. The Mi TV 4A 70 runs on PatchWall UI has 3 HDMI interfaces and 2 USB interfaces with S / PDIF interface. JD.com is also offering a 5 year extended warranty on this product for just 200 Yuan, which one must consider if they plan to buy it. This festive season is usually a busy period when e-commerce experience a boom in sales. We just saw the 11.11 Singles day sales in China where record sales were made by some of the top retailers. The Singles Day is arguably the biggest shopping festival of the year in China and it falls on November 11 every year. This year, Xiaomi has revealed its sales figure on Tmall for the Singles Day 24-hour sales and it is massive! 

Xiaomi has reportedly broken all its previous record this year on Tmall with a total revenue of 2.46 billion Yuan (about $370 million). This record sales place the tech giant as the top smartphone company in terms of units sold for the fifth consecutive year running. As a matter of fact, Xiaomi is said to occupy four out of the top 10 smartphones sold on Tmall. In addition, the company also emerged tops in the IoT products sales due to the popularity of its IoT products. This help Xiaomi clinch the top position for the third consecutive year in the smart devices category and it also ranked number one in terms of TV sales.

The highest sales record Xiaomi has ever achieved on the platform before now was during its successful 2014 run when it sold 1.56 billion Yuan on the platform during 11.11. That figure was broken in 10 hours this year, as the company hit ¥ 1.6 Billion ((US$ 240 million) in 10 Hours 42 Minutes. Xiaomi is yet to disclose the sales from other channels but we expect the figures to be huge also.
