This year, Xiaomi is aiming big with its Xiaomi Mi 5 flagship smartphone. The company CEO has already hyped up the device saying that the experience is beyond imagination, and we expect to see some great features on the device. Now, for the first time, Xiaomi could be looking at simultaneous launches of the Mi 5 at MWC, Barcelona and China. The company global VP Hugo Barra confirmed this via a tweet recently.
This will be the first time that the company is showcasing its new device at MWC (Mobile World Congress). MWC is one of the biggest tech expos of the year, and it’s a great platform to showcase the latest innovative gadgets from companies around the world. A launch at MWC could hint that Xiaomi is eager to enter new markets, probably even in Europe. With rivals like Huawei and ZTE expanding its international reach, it won’t be surprising if Xiaomi decided to extend its footprint into new markets in the region.
