Today, Xiaomi has Released its new action camera “Xiaomi Yi” very similar to the GoPro Hero 3 but roughly half of the price of GoPro entry level camera. Yi can not shot 4K and neither has image stabilization which you get in GoPro but at this price, this is the Deal Breaker. From the figure the Xiaomi Yi has its appearance and size inspired from GoPro4. It also has a waterproof shell with it, which makes it fully waterproof upto 4 meters (same as GoPro). You can connect it with your phone through a app. It does not have any internal storage, you can insert a memory card upto 64GB. It has got a Sony’s back-illuminated 16-megapixel image sensor and Ambarella A7LS image processor. The maximum Resolution of Footage it can Record is 1080p @ 60fps, 720p @ 120fps and 480p @ 240fps video capture, encoding for H.264, output format is MP4. It has got 2 microphones with 3D noise cancellation. Yi is available in different colours including grey and Lime. Xiaomi Yi is priced at just 60$, with a price like this, this is the most cheap action camera you can get.
