A couple of weeks back, we had reported about a new smartphone from Cubot called as the Cubot H1. This particular device was special in the sense that it packed a massive 5200mAh battery on board, making sure that the phone lasted for more than a couple of days easily.
Now, we have go hands on with the Cubot H1, and the initial impression is quite good. The built quality is decent, with a sturdy body and no loose parts. In fact, this was a factory model, so expect the final release to be even better.
The back features a glossy texture, but its not slippery as Xiaomi devices. The texture makes sure that you get good grip while holding the device. Moreover, it also helps to avoid any fingerprint marks on the back cover. Both the headphone jack and the MicroUSB port are on top of the device.
As for the specs, the phone comes with MT6735P 64-bit processor clocked at 1GHZ. There will be 2GB RAM on board along with 16GB of internal storage further expandable via MicroSD. While the display is just 720p on a 5.5-inch screen, it looked good. As for the camera, there’s a 13MP shooter at the back with single LED flash and an 8MP front facing camera. The phone supports dual SIM card with 4LTE connectivity. Supports bands include: 1/3/7/20. Finally, you get an IR port which lets you control a number of appliances at your home.
The phone’s battery is probably the major reason you would go with this device. The 5200mAh battery can also be used as a power bank to charge other devices. Moreover, it supports fast charging to make sure that you don’t have to spend too much time with the charger.
Overall, the Cubot H1 is a great device for anyone who needs a large battery phone. Since we have the handset with us right now, expect more hands on and review articles in the coming days.
