Xiaomi’s Mi Band 2 Already Up For Pre-order On Geekbuying

by Joel 2

Xiaomi announced the new Mi Band 2 wearable earlier today for an amazing price tag of 149 Yuan which comes to just $22. Now, just a few hours after the band’s release, Geekbuying has started accepting pre-orders for the new device. Of course, you will have to shell out a little premium when buying from the third party retailer, but at $39.99, it still within the reach of many buyers. Remember this is a pre-order for the device and the retailer has listed June 30 as the delivery time. Considering that the band goes on sale in China only on June 7, this seems pretty decent.

As for the features of the device, we have already listed them in detail here. To recap, the Mi Band 2 comes with an anti-allergic, anti-slip strap in black, orange and blue colors. Like its predecessor, its IP67 certified, meaning dust and water proof. The biggest upgrade on the new wearable is the OLED screen on board with a button on top to change modes. This doesn’t really severely affect the band’s battery life, as the¬†company claims that it should run for up to 20 days on a single charge.

You will find the usual activity tracker features such as pedometer, heart rate monitor, steps tracker, sleep monitor, alarm, sedentary vibration alert etc.
