Lenovo ZUK Edge White Colored Version Leaks in Fresh Renders

by Jed John 3

Earlier today, Lenovo‘s vice-President released stunning images of the black variant of the ZUK Edge on Weibo. Again, images of the white colored version of the Edge have also leaked online showing the device without the protective casing that prevented us from seeing the rear aspect properly on the black version.

Indeed the device bears semblance with the Xiaomi Mix with the display occupying almost 90% of the entire screen. The device comes with a similar concept design with very thin bezels at the sides. Whatever is being used at the front like the home button cum fingerprint scanner is pushed to both the upper and lower extremes. But for little differences, the design is said to resemble the Lenovo ZUK Z2 Pro also in looks.

From the enders, the ZUK Edge doesn’t seem to have a curved display but a flat one. The device has been revealed by Lenovo’s VP as launching sometime next week. We are still waiting for official words on the exact date for the launch.

Thanks to Zuk Edge release, Zuk Z2 Pro 6gb/128gb has dropped to $350.

But I just hope Zuk Edge has vastly improve its capability to take photos in low-light condition, because hardware-wise, Zuk Edge can be categorized as a flagship.

ZUK Z2 Pro’s low-light capabilities I would argue are still ahead of most if not all the competition in that price bracket. HDR in low-light with the OIS produced results I couldn’t hope to get on, say, a Mi5, or any Meizu, and I’d say it fared better than my current P9. Only sold my Z2 Pro on because of some faults with my unit. Got it repaired at service centre then sold it off because I had lost some faith in the brand, but the camera performance wasn’t a weakness of the device.

Oh, is that so? I have a friend owning one and whenever we take night photos, it’s either filled with grains or just so-so. Of course, we aren’t using the flash. If we do, it’s just for groupfie. But I guess, in that price range, Zuk Z2 Pro rocks. All I’m saying is, I wish this Edge version can improve the minor shortcomings.
