When the Nokia 6 launched, it was said that the phone will remain a China exclusive. It seems that will be changing as two new variants have been certified by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG).

The devices have model numbers TA-1000 and TA-1003 and are described as the Nokia 6. Rumor has it that the Nokia 6 might be heading to India as well and may be priced at Rs.9,999 (~$150) but new info says it will still be priced at about $250.

The new models might probably be global variants of the phone with the same or slightly different specs. We can’t confirm now until more details are released.

The Nokia 6 sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, a snapdragon 430 SoC and comes with Android Nougat out of the box. If any of these new Nokia 6 variants comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage with a sub-$200 price tag, Nokia may see more people purchasing the phone compared to the $250 tag it currently has. A global variant will also mean that it has to compete with newer phones like the Honor 6X, the ZTE Blade V8 Pro, and a Snapdragon variant of the Redmi Note 4.
