Still driving on the fast lane, Vivo not only announced the V5 Plus but also went official with a slightly lower version dubbed V5 Lite. As the name implies, the Vivo V5 Lite packs a slightly inferior specs lineup when compared with the V5 Plus and the Vivo V5 which was released two months back, but it features the same design as its siblings with just a few features like fingerprint sensor missing.
The Vivo V5 Lite packs a 5.5-inch display with HD resolution (aka 1280 x 720 pixels). The device comes with an all-metal body with a design language that is reminiscent of Vivo’s smartphone lineup. There is a fingerprint sensor at the back as well as fused antenna band design at the back of the smartphone. The device has a dimension of 153.8 x 75.5 x 7.6 mm. It weighs 155g.
The smartphone is powered by a 64-bit octa-core processor whose real identity is not revealed. The processor is backed by 3GB of RAM and the device also features 32GB of internal storage which is expandable via microSD. The V5 Lite packs a unique selfie camera arrangement with an ample 16MP sensor coming along with a selfie softlight flash and f/2.0 aperture. The rear camera isn’t bad either, sporting a 13MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture and an LED flash. On the software, the V5 Lite runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based Funtouch OS 3.0. Keeping the lights on is a modest 3,ooomAh battery. There is also dual SIM and 4G LTE support, but no fingerprint sensor.
