A few days ago, we reported that HTC sent out invites for an event scheduled for 2nd of November. The invite revealed the program of event as well as the venue. It also hinted at the device belonging to the U series.

HTC U11 Plus event

HTC itself didn’t confirm the event, as the image of the invite was posted on Weibo by a third party. Not until today did HTC announce via Twitter that it has an event for November 2.

The accompanying image is similar to that of the invite but doesn’t have details of the venue and time.

The HTC U11 Plus is the device expected to launch but we may see other new products too, maybe the standalone Daydream VR headset.

The HTC U11 Plus is a 6” phone with thinner bezels and a 2:1 aspect ratio. It will come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835, 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of storage.

The U11 Plus will be similar to the HTC U11 and U Ultra as it has the same Liquid Surface design. Underneath that glass is a 4,000mAh battery to power up the QHD display. The phone is also expected to launch with Android 8.0 Oreo.
