    SD 625?
Hope a version with a better cpu comes out.

      I don’t. I hope THESE specs with a top-notch camera (IMX377+OIS) at a mid-range price (<$250).

I’m using the Note 4 with SD625 and no complaints over here. I’m perfectly fine with that Soc. If they put a decent camera in the Note 5 and deliver the same excellent battery life I would even consider to upgrade from my 4/64GB Note 4.

The problem is not the quality of the 625, the problem is xiaomi putting every cellphone below the flagship line with it, how many cellphones now with SD 625 have they released already?

And yeah, they really should at least put a good camera on this one to make it worth buying.

Probably brought millions of units to get a good discount. Not only does that make each handset more profitable in terms of saving money in the hardware department but in the software as well. Having one Soc for almost every device means lower costs for software updates. It’s also a win situation for the consumer: low prices and software updates hitting almost every single model out there. But yes, they have at least to fix that camera.

    I hope it has a SD636 chipset.

It’s not that I hate the SD625 chipset, I actually sended this message from a phone with a SD625 chipset :). But I want to see some innovation, Xiaomi already released alot of phones with the SD625 chipset:

    – Xiaomi Redmi 4 Pro
    – Xiaomi Redmi Note 4
    – Xiaomi Redmi Note 4x
    – Xiaomi Mi Max 2
    – Xiaomi Mi A1
    – Xiaomi Mi5x

I do like the efficienty from the chipset though, and for most users it has enough horsepower. Anyway if you are going to release a new iteration, I expect an upgrade in all areas.
