The fact that according to Huawei, Honor 8 will not receive the update to Android 8.0 Oreo does not mean that this phone will not be updated anymore. The handset has just received a new big update which is still based on Android Nougat, but it brings several new features. The most important ones include a new 3D panorama mode to shoot 3D photos: the feature has been added to the stock Camera app.

On the Honor 8, you can now enable a new security feature which lets you enter your lock screen password every three days to avoid undesired accesses and to remember your password easily. A new recycle bin has been added to the stock Gallery app in order to give you the opportunity to restore deleted photos within 30 days from their deletion.

On the Facebook instant message app, the company has added a split-screen key to enable the split-screen mode without leaving the app. The new App twin feature lets the users use the same app with two different accounts at the same time. These are only some of the new functionalities added to Honor 8 with the new update. Seeing that it is big, we suggest you download it while you are connected via Wi-Fi.
