There are companies that make battery cases for phones but they are usually limited to flagships from brands like Samsung and Apple, leaving out other smartphone brands. Notwithstanding, we have seen a few of these less popular brands get fitted with custom batteries by folks in China. This time around, the OnePlus 5 is the one getting this customization.
The OnePlus 5 has a 3300mAh battery and this is around the standard capacity found in most flagships. And with dash charging, you can be back to talking and browsing in less time than most phones. Now, imagine swapping that battery out for an 8,000mAh one. That’s a huge bump literally and figuratively.

According to the owner, battery life increased from one full day to three days on a single charge. Impressive right?

There are no reported safety issues so far but we do not recommend going along with this. Not only does this void your warranty but we are skeptical about the safety of the battery.
