Huawei will announce at least two new MediaPad tablets at MWC 2018 this year. The new tablets called the MediaPad M5 will come in 8.4” and 10” variants and will succeed 2016’s MediaPad M3. However, unlike the M3, the 10” variant of the M5 is the one packing the more powerful specs.

A large number of the tablet’s specs have been made public recently but more have surfaced again. Rather than list the new details, we’ll just list all the specs below:

  • 10.8” 2560 x 1080 LCD Display
  • Kirin 960 SoC
  • 4GB RAM + 32GB built-in storage
  • 13MP rear camera (no LED flash)
  • 8MP front camera
  • Fingerprint scanner
  • 29Whr battery
  • Android 7.0 Nougat
  • Harman Kardon Speakers

Huawei is also expected to launch a Pro version of the 10” model. This will come with 64GB of storage, LTE (optional on the regular version), and a stylus dubbed the M-Pen.

The MediaPad M5 10” is expected to have a starting price of 399 Euros. The Pro variant will likely retail for a little under 500 Euros.

Huawei isn’t just packing high-end specs into the tablets for fun. It wants it to serve as a productivity device, so it will offer a keyboard folio case that can be purchased along with the tablets.

Launch of the MediaPad M5 is set for Sunday, February 25 before it goes on sale in the coming weeks.
