Huawei has confirmed that it will be launching the P20 family on March 27. Rumors have it that the Huawei P20 will come with stellar dual rear cameras whereas the P20 Plus/Pro may feature even better camera capabilities as it is pegged to feature triple-lens system. Today, it has been officially confirmed that the P20 will allow users to capture stunning photos in low-light conditions.

This morning, Huawei’s president for mobile department has released a new teaser for Huawei P20 on his Weibo account. The translated text of his Weibo post (shown below) reads, “Huawei P20 is not afraid of darkness and the night is clearer. Let’s see the technical innovation of Huawei Again #SeeMooore# With AI.

During a recent interview, Huawei CEO Richard Yu had said that, “We have some very big, bold, big innovation on camera technology. It will be much much better than all the phones.” This shows that the P20 and P20 Plus/Pro flagship phones will deliver unmatched photography experience. According to the aforementioned Weibo post, P20’s cameras will be driven by AI. Also, the teaser GIF shows that even in night, the P20 was able to capture the Eiffel Tower in all its glory.

Rumors have it that the P20 Plus/Pro’s triple camera setup will include 12-megapixel RGB sensor, a 16-megapiel monochrome sensor and a 16-megapixel telephoto lens. Other features include f/1.8 aperture and Optical Image Stabilization. The Huawei P20 may come with RGB + monochrome dual camera setup.

Both the phones are fueled by Kirin 970 and its NPU will make it possible to snap clearer photos in dim-light through AI. The P20 may feature a 5.7-inch display whereas the P20 Plus/Pro may house a larger screen of 6 inches. Both are expected to support FHD+ resolution.
