Chinese smartphone maker Vivo, seems to be on a roll this year. First, it launched the Vivo X20 Plus UD in January, the world’s first smartphone with an under-display fingerprint scanner. Then it showed off the Vivo APEX, a concept phone with a very high screen-to-body ratio and a pop-up camera at MWC 2018. Now it has announced the launch date for its latest smartphone, the Vivo X21.

Vivo X21 invite

ITHome, a popular Chinese tech site says it has received an invite for the launch of the Vivo X21 scheduled for March 19. The event is to hold in the historic town of Wuzhen, Zhejiang Province.

Not much is known about the Vivo X21 at the moment. A leaked poster from yesterday shows it will have an under-display fingerprint scanner like the X20 and also vertically arranged dual rear cameras.

Key details like the chipset, camera configuration, and battery capacity are still unknown. We are actually eager to know which processor powers it seeing as the Snapdragon 660 already powers its predecessors and the Snapdragon 670 hasn’t been released.

There is a chance we may find out these details before the launch, probably from a TENAA listing.
