Huawei’s recent phones like Nova 3e, P20 Lite, P20 and P20 Pro feature iPhone X-like notched display. The recently announced OPPO F7, OPPO R15, R15 Dream Mirror, Vivo X21 and Vivo X9 are all fitted with notched screen. The upcoming OnePlus 6 is also speculated to arrive with a similar looking display. Recent leaks have revealed that the Xiaomi Mi 7 would be also arriving with a notch-enabled screen. A leaked image showing the display panel of the alleged Mi 7 that has appeared today also show that it will be fitted with a notch.

The presence of the slightly wide notch in the above image suggests that it could be housing some sensors for 3D facial recognition apart from front-facing camera and an earpiece. The bezels present on the sides of the phone are very narrow and its chin is a bit thick. It is expected to deliver an impressive screen-to-body ratio.

Rumors have it that the Mi 7 could be featuring an OLED display that will carry support for Always-On Display feature. Some rumors claim that it will be arriving with a 5.65-inch display, while other sources have started that it may house a 6.01-inch screen. There is a possibility that Xiaomi may release a small-sized Mi 7 and a larger Mi 7 Plus smartphone.

The Xiaomi Mi 7 was recently spotted on Geekbench with Snapdragon 845 chipset and 6 GB of RAM. It may also pegged to arrive with support for wireless charging for its 3,400mAh battery. A recent report had claimed that Xiaomi may debut the Mi 7 in June. It is speculated that it will be hitting the market with a starting price of around $475.
