Apple has introduced a new 9.7-inch iPad as a successor for last year’s model. The new tablet that is priced at $329 is powered by Apple A10 Fusion chipset and it carries support for Apple Pencil.

New 9.7-inch iPad Specifications and Features

The 9.7-inch iPad supports super-high resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. However, the screen offers enough real estate for browsing the web, watching movies, playing games and reading.

The 9.7-inch iPad that was released last year was powered by Apple A9 chipset. However, the successor model is driven by Apple A10 Fusion that features a quad-core processor that clocks at 2.2 GHz. It is the very same chipset that fuels the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus smartphones. The new chipset supports better graphics and users can also run AR apps on it. The SoC is coupled with 2 GB of RAM.
