Last month, ZTE’s Nubia released the V18 and the N3, both which are mid-range phones. There have been rumors about its main flagship with respect to the name. Some have said it will be called the Z19 while others say it will launch as the Z18. We can confirm that it will be called the Nubia Z18 seeing as the manufacturer has announced the launch date for the Nubia Z18 Mini.
Nubia is sticking to its tradition of launching the Mini variant first. Last year, it released the Nubia Z17 Mini in April before launching the Z17 in June.
The poster reveal for the Nubia Z18 Mini teases the phone will come with dual cameras. There is also the figure “24” beside the dual lens which may mean the front camera has been bumped up from 16MP to 24MP or that the phone’s dual cameras have a combined megapixel count of 24.
Nothing else is known about the Nubia Z18 Mini. Last year’s Z17 Mini launched in two variants:
- a standard edition with a Snapdragon 652 SoC and 4GB of RAM
- a high-end edition with a Snapdragon 653 SoC and 6GB of RAM.
There is a chance we may see the same thing happen again this year.
