There were reports that the iPhone X was supposed to come in a gold variant at launch. However, it didn’t due to alleged production issues. We can now confirm that the information is true as the FCC now has photos of the new variant for public viewing.

The color variant is called Blush Gold and serves as a third option to the already available Space Gray and Silver. True, this may not garner the same level of excitement if it were to be red but at least it is a new color variant.

The Blush Gold iPhone X has glass on both sides. The metal frame is also gold with a mirror-like finish. Even without the display turned on, one can clearly see the notch.

There is no info as to when the new color variant will be formally announced but it should be soon since the 180-day confidentiality period has expired and assuming production issues have been resolved. It should also be available for the same price as the other colors.
