Smartron, an Indian smartphone manufacturer has launched a new variant of its Smartrton t.phone P which was initially launched earlier this year in January. As the name suggests, the new model — Smartron t.phone P Gold Edition comes in Gold color. It has been priced at Rs. 7,999 (approximately $121) and will be available for purchase exclusively through Flipkart from 22nd April.

The smartphone comes with a 5.2-inch IPS HD display with screen resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels and 2.5D curved glass protection on top. Under the hood, the device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor which is coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. Smartron is also offering 1000GB of free cloud storage via its t.cloud service.

The phone’s storage capacity can further be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card. Coming to the camera department, the device features a 13-megapixel primary camera with LED flash and f/2.2 aperture. There’s also a 5-megapixel front-facing selfie shooter with f/2.2 aperture.

Connectivity options on the t.phone P include a hybrid Nano-SIM slot, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, dual-SIM and micro USB port with OTG support. There’s a fingerprint sensor placed on the back of the device for added security.

The device runs on Android Nougat operating system out-of-the-box and we are not sure if the phone will ever receive Android version update. The biggest USP of the device is its battery capacity. The device comes with a massive 5,000mAh which according to the company can provide up to two days of usage on a single charge.
