Apart from the Honor 9i, Honor Play and GPU Turbo Technology announced yesterday, Honor also announced a new pair of wired earphones and a sports armband.

The pair of wired earphones is the first from Honor to support heart rate measurement. Honor says the human ear is filled with capillaries and when compared with measuring via the wrist, they found out that readings from the ears were more accurate.

Honor has a custom app that users are required to download to monitor their heart rate. The new Honor earphones come in black and pearl white but only the latter is available at the moment. It is priced at ¥129 (~$20) and comes with extra earbuds and ear clips depending on the size of your ears.

Honor says the heart rate function works with a bunch of smartphones including the Huawei Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro, P20 and P20 Pro, Galaxy S7, Galaxy Note 8, Vivo X9, Vivo, Y66 etc.

If you are the type that likes to take your phone along for a run or when going to the gym so as not to miss calls or even for the GPS function, Honor has a new sports armband for you.

The band is said to have moderate elasticity and has pockets for your bank cards, ID card, or gym membership cards. Honor says you also do not have to bring out your phone to use it as the protective film supports touch input.
