Alongside its latest flagship Honor Play, Huawei has also announced GPU Turbo, a very innovative technology which is able to enhance the performance of its smartphones via software. After unveiling the new technology, the company has declared that, besides Honor Play, it would be launched on several other Huawei existing phones. The Chinese giant has just started the beta testing phase of this technology for the Honor 10.

It is possible to get the beta firmware containing the new technology by adhering to the beta testing phase on the Huawei Pollen Club official forum. GPU Turbo will be very useful in gaming scenarios as it is able to enhance graphics processing performance by up to 60 percent. It can also reduce the power consumption by up to 30 percent. Further, it can improve the viewing quality with games. It can work on both flagships and affordable Huawei handsets, no matter which Kirin SoC they have.

The company has already confirmed the devices which will get the GPU Turbo technology. Besides Honor Play and Honor 10, there will be Huawei Mate 10 and Honor V10, which will get GPU Turbo by the end of June. The whole P20 series, Mate RS Porsche Design, Nova 2S and M5 tablets will be updated in July, then several other handsets will follow.
