The blockbuster movie Jurassic World 2 recently made its debut in theatres in China on June 15 and the revenue from the movie has been outstanding. The movie is said to have raked in $112 million on opening weekend in mainland China alone. Such is the popularity of the movie and Huawei is trying to benefit from the movie’s popularity with the launch of a new Honor 7X Jurassic World Limited Gift Box Edition.
As the name implies, the new edition is just the regular Honor 7X with its gift box design with the Jurassic World theme. The device also seems to come with a couple of Jurassic Park-themed wallpapers inside but most of the tweaks are in the design. No, you wouldn’t pay a higher amount to grab this limited edition as it still adopts an almost similar pricing to its predecessor. The new Jurassic World edition is presently available on Jingdong (JD.com) for just 1099 yuan (~$167) which is even lower than the price the 4GB+32GB variant was sold last year October after it was launched. The new edition is only available in Aurora Blue colour and 4GB + 32GB memory.

As a reminder, the Honor 7X smartphone features a 5.93-inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio and full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) resolution. It runs the Android 7.0 Nougat-based EMUI 5.1 custom UI and is powered by the octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 659 SoC paired with a 4GB RAM. The device is available in three storage variants of 32GB, 64GB and 128GB expandable up to 256GB. Keeping everything running is a 3340mAh battery. There is a dual camera setup at the rear consisting of a 16MP main sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor. There is also an 8MP front-facing shooter onboard. The Honor 7X is available in Gold, Blue, and Black.
