While the 6GB + 64GB model is priced at Rs. 29,999 ($437), the 6GB + 128GB model costs Rs. 32,999 ($481). The 8GB RAM model will be available for Rs. 36,999, which roughly converts to $539.
All the variants will be available for purchase from 9th July, exclusively via Flipkart. The company is also offering Rs. 3,000 ($44) discount on purchase through ICICI Bank credit/debit cards, no cost EMIs, as well as other offers from telecom operators Reliance Jio. Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm‘s Snapdragon 845 processor, the same chipset which power most of the flagship smartphones launched this year. It is coupled with Adreno 630 graphics processor, ensuring smoother experience with gameplay and graphics.
The 6GB RAM variant comes with 64GB / 128GB of internal storage and the 8GB RAM variant packs 128GB of onboard storage. Both devices come with a microSD card slot, which enables users to further expand the phone’s storage capacity. Asus has not launched the 4GB RAM model in India at this time.
In terms of optics, the smartphone features a dual camera setup on the back. It has a 12-megapixel primary camera with Sony IMX363 sensor, 4-axis OIS, 3-axis EIS, f/1.8 aperture and phase detection autofocus, and an 8-megapixel sencondary sensor with f/2.2 aperture, OV8856 sensor, and 120-degree wide-angle lens.
On the front side, it features an 8-megapixel snapper with support for Face Unlock feature. There’s also a fingerprint sensor placed on the back side, which according to Asus, can unlock the device in 0.3 seconds. It packs dual speakers with five-magnets and NXP Smart amplifier, and DTS Headphone: X for 7.1-channel surround sound.
Connectivity options on the device include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C. The company has also retained the 3.5mm headphone jack.
The smartphone runs on Android Oreo operating system out of the box with the company’s own custom interface ZenUI on top. It is powered by a 3300mAh battery that supports ASUS BoostMaster fast charging and AI charging.
