Last week, HMD Global finally started selling Nokia X6 Polar White color variant in a flash sale, which was sold out pretty quickly. Now, the company is bringing the Polar White color variant of the Nokia X6 for sale tomorrow, for which it has already witnessed over 730,000 registrations. Currently, the Polar White Nokia X6 is offered in only one variant — 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, priced at 1,699 Yuan, which roughly converts to $254.
Nokia X6, which was launched a couple of months ago, is the company’s first smartphone that features a trendy notch on top of the display. The smartphone went on sale a few times and went out of sale within a few seconds in almost every flash sale but the Polar White variant went on sale last week for the first time. Apart from white, the phone is also available in Dark Blue and Stark Black color options.
The smartphone comes with a 5.8-inch Full-HD+ display with screen resolution of 2280 × 1080 pixels and 19:9 aspect ratio. There’s a notch on top of the display, similar to that of Apple iPhone X and the display is covered by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 which protects from minor scratches.
Under the hood, it is powered by Qualcomm‘s Snapdragon 636 octa-core processor, which also powers the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro and Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1, among others. The phone is available in two variants — 4GB RAM with 32GB / 64GB internal storage and the 6GB RAM variant which packs 64GB internal storage.
There’s also a microSD card slot, which enables users to further expand the phone’s storage capacity up to 256GB. In terms of optics, the smartphone features a dual camera setup, having a 16-megapixel RGB primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture and a 5-megapixel secondary monochrome sensor with f/2.2 aperture. On the front side, there’s a 16-megapixel snapper with f/2.0 aperture and 1.0um pixel size.
For enhanced camera performance, it comes with artificial intelligence (AI) features for improved photography, such as optimized color, field and portrait lighting effects, as well as face recognition. It also offers the Bothie feature, which enables users to use both front and rear cameras simultaneously. It also comes with a Face Unlock feature as well as a fingerprint sensor placed on the back panel.
Connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C. The Nokia X6 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box and also comes with Do Not Disturb mode for gaming. The device is fuelled by a 3,060mAh battery which supports Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology that can deliver up to 50 percent of charge in 30 minutes.
According to the latest reports, the Nokia X6 will also be available outside of China from 19th July as the Nokia 6.1 Plus. The first market to receive it is Hong Kong and other regions are expected to receive it in the coming weeks.
