A couple of months ago, HMD Global launched Nokia X6, the company’s first smartphone that features a trendy notch on top of the display. The smartphone went on sale a few times and went out of sale within a few seconds in almost every flash sale.
At the time of the launch, the company had announced that the Nokia X6 will be available in three color options — Dark Blue, Polar White, and Stark Black. After a few sales of the Nokia X6, the company has finally decided to start selling the Polar White color variant.
Starting today, the HMD Global‘s Nokia X6 Polar White color variant will be available for purchase. Currently, it is offered in only one variant — 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, priced at 1,699 Yuan, which roughly converts to $254.
The smartphone comes with a 5.8-inch Full-HD+ display with screen resolution of 2280 × 1080 pixels and 19:9 aspect ratio. There’s a notch on top of the display, similar to that of Apple iPhone X and the display is covered by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 which protects from minor scratches.
It is powered by Qualcomm‘s recently launched Snapdragon 636 octa-core processor, which also powers the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro and Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1, among others. The phone is available in two variants — 4GB RAM with 32GB / 64GB internal storage and the 6GB RAM variant which packs 64GB internal storage.
There’s also a microSD card slot, which enables users to further expand the phone’s storage capacity up to 256GB. Coming to the camera department, the smartphone features a dual camera setup, having a 16-megapixel RGB primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture and a 5-megapixel secondary monochrome sensor with f/2.2 aperture. On the front side, there’s a 16-megapixel snapper with f/2.0 aperture and 1.0um pixel size.
For the camera, there are artificial intelligence (AI) features for improved photography, such as optimized color, field and portrait lighting effects, as well as face recognition. It also offers the Bothie feature, which enables users to use both front and rear cameras simultaneously.
It also comes with a Face Unlock feature as well as a fingerprint sensor placed on the back panel. Connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C.
The Nokia X6 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box and also comes with Do Not Disturb mode for gaming. The device is fuelled by a 3,060mAh battery which supports Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology that can deliver up to 50 percent of charge in 30 minutes.
After witnessing success with the Nokia X6 smartphone in China, the Finnish company is now gearing up to launch the device in the global markets. Recently, the phone was shortly listed on the company’s website and then the support page for the smartphone went live on Nokia India website.
