The OPPO Find X may be popular for its full-screen display and its motorized cameras but it appears it is also an audio champion. A press release from OPPO and Dirac has revealed the technology behind the Find X’ audio quality.
OPPO and Dirac have been working together for about five years now. It also shouldn’t come as a surprise that OPPO is concerned about audio quality. Apart from smartphones, OPPO also makes headphones and amplifiers. Dirac, on the other hand, is a Sweden-based global leader in audio technology.
The OPPO Find X features three of Dirac’s audio technologies. There is Dirac HD Sound® – for earphone optimization, Dirac Power Sound® for speaker optimization, and Dirac Sensaround® for soundstage widening.
Dirac Power sound helps with enhancing the volume and bass of the speaker while Dirac HD sound which is also present in the Find X’ earphones improves “musical staging clarity, voice intelligibility, and bass fidelity”. Dirac Sensaround comes into play when you watch movies or videos on the Find X while using any headphones.

Furthermore, OPPO and Dirac say they worked together on the hardware part too – such as determining the best position for the speaker, speaker cabinet, DSP, and amplifier.
All these optimizations combined with OPPO’s own audio hardware is what gives the Find X its impressive audio prowess.
