Viomi is one of the brands under Xiaomi’s Mijia platform. Most of their products are kitchen-related and include refrigerators, gas cookers, water heaters, ovens, electric kettles, and even thermos flasks. The brand’s latest product is a garbage disposal.
The Viomi Garbage Disposal has a 4-level grinder for shredding different types of food wastes and is powered by a low-noise motor. It also has a splash guard to prevent what is being shredded from splashing out.
The Viomi Garbage Disposal can grind eggshells, ribs, chicken bones, fruit peels, vegetables, and leftover meals, just make sure the tap is running whenever it’s in use.

The garbage disposal is made of 304 stainless steel and has a capacity of 1290ml. It weighs 9.5kg, has a diameter of 90mm, and has a power rating of 650W which is suitable for a household with 5-8 persons. Rated voltage is 220V. The device has a single button switch for easy operation. Viomi says it is compatible with both single-sink and double-sink installations.
The garbage disposal is priced at ¥1799 (~$260) and is already available for purchase on Xiaomi’s crowdfunding platform.
