At the beginning of the last week, Vivo had revealed the existence of the Vivo X23 smartphone by adding its web page on the official website. Official renders, leaked photos and specifications of the smartphone have also surfaced in the past few days. Today, Vivo has confirmed that it will be holding a launch event at 7:30 PM on Sept. 6 in Beijing, China to unveil the Vivo X23 smartphone.

The Vivo X23 that will be arriving as the successor of the Vivo X21 will be equipped with a waterdrop AMOLED screen of 6.4 inches. The official page of the phone has revealed that it offers a screen-to-body ratio of 91.2 percent. The handset will be featuring fourth-generation under-display fingerprint scanner.

Vivo X23 September 6 Launch

Recently, a Vivo phone with a model number of V1809A that is believed to be the Vivo X23 phone was spotted on Geekbench with Snapdragon 710. The very same model has also surfaced on Master Lu benchmarks with Snapdragon 670 SoC. Hence, it is advisable to wait for official confirmation from Vivo to confirm on its SoC. There is a possibility that the Vivo X23 may come in two variants like the Vivo X21. One variant of the X23 may feature an in-display fingerprint scanner and advanced whereas the X23 model with regular fingerprint scanner may come with slightly lower specs.

The Chinese benchmarking platform has confirmed that the waterdrop screen of the X23 will be producing Full HD+ resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. It means it will offer an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The Chinese manufacturer has confirmed that the Vivo X23 is equipped with 8 GB of RAM. It features an internal storage of 128 GB.

The other specifications of the Vivo X23 smartphone are yet to be confirmed. The handset is already available for reservations through the official online Vivo store in China. Also, the rumor mill is yet to reveal the pricing of the phone.

In related news, Vivo will be also unveiling the Vivo V11 Pro on Sept. 6 in India. Like the Vivo X23, the V11 Pro will be also sporting waterdrop notch display design. The Chinese manufacturer has dubbed the design as Halo FullView Display. The other specs of the phone include Snapdragon 660, 3,400mAh battery, 6 GB of RAM, 128 GB of native storage, 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual camera and 25-megapixel front camera.
