Yesterday, Honor launched the bezelless Honor 8X at an event in Beijing. Now, they are embracing for Honor Magic 2 which is supposed to carry 100% bezel-less display using the new slider technology. At IFA 2018, President of Honor smartphone, Zhao Ming confirmed some of the specs about the Honor Magic 2. Zhao revealed that Honor Magic 2 will carry Kirin 980 and will have Artificial Intelligence (AI) features.
As seen in the renders before and now even even confirmed by Zhao, Honor Magic 2 will carry Sliding Display with 100% bezel-less design. Honor Magic 2 is now in the mass production and soon it will be ready for launch. Further speaking, Zhao said, Honor will not only integrate Open Camera gesture for the Sliding Display, it will also be used to assign Artificial (AI) features. The president of Honor Smartphone is greatly emphasizing on Artificial Intelligence.
Further, Sliding screen will be used to achieve the 100% Bezel-less display. Honor will also transpose some features from the Honor 7i, which also features mechanical design. It is expected to carry its rotating camera with more improved technology. These features with the help of the AI will surely impress the consumers minds. As these features are not just increasing the hardware specifications, it is directly involved in the evolution of the mobile devices.
Additionally, Honor Magic 2 will carry fast charging tech with support for 40 W fast charger. It will be dubbed as Magic Charge. It is said to be safe as it has 15-layers of safety protection.
Currently, there’s no specific date for the launch and the price is not confirmed. We expect it to launch within couple of months in China.
Honor is also developing the devices with 5G technology but they are reserved for the launch in 2019-20. For now, Honor believes that 5G technology is currently in the initial stage and it will take some time to reach the mass users. They are coming with some big surprises this year as per Zhao.
