In the previous month, Xiaomi president Lin Bin has already revealed the slider design of the upcoming Mi MIX 3 smartphone. Today, a new image of the front panel of the Mi MIX 3 has surfaced on Weibo today to reveal its redesigned appeal.

The Mi MIX 2S that was unveiled earlier this year sported improved specs. However, its design was similar to the Mi MIX 2 that was announced last year. The official Mi MIX 3 render has revealed that it will be arriving with an improved design. The image of the Mi MIX 3 front panel that has appeared today shows that its top and side bezels are quite thin. This indicates that the Mi MIX 3 will be ofering higher screen-to-body ratio than its predecessor model.

The official image of the Mi MIX 3 had revealed that it does not feature a front-facing camera on its bottom bezel. The image of the Mi MIX 3’s front panel show that it has a slimmer bottom bezel compared to the Mi MIX 2S mainly since the selfie camera is no longer present on it.

The leaked video of the alleged prototype of the Mi MIX 3 phone had revealed that components such as earpiece and the necessary sensor for 3D face scanning are placed on its slider. The video revealed that front panel of the phone features a subtle cutout on the top bezel. However, the leaked image showing the front panel of Mi MIX 3 seems has an uneven cutout.

Rumors have it that the Mi MIX 3 could be also equipped with an in-screen fingerprint reader. The handset is slated to debut in October, but the exact launch date is not known. Xiaomi is currently busy with releasing teasers for the Mi 8 Youth Edition phone that is slated to go official on Sept. 19. The company may start teasing the features of Mi MIX 3 after the launch of Mi 8 Youth Edition.
