Xiaomi is rolling out an update for the new Mi Max 3 with some performance and stability fixes. The new update is bringing new firmware to MIUI version 9.6.6. The stable OTA (Over-the-Air) update is rolling for the Xiaomi’s phablet device running on the latest stable build. Users who have tweaked the device will not get the update as it is against the policies of the Xiaomi.

The new update is fixing various bugs and is increasing the overall performance of the device. It also includes some new features to increase the ease of access for the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 users.

The update is rolling out in staged manner, it will rollout to some users first, then after completion the update will rollout to the wider audience. It is a precautionary procedure to rollout the update as it helps to know about any bugs or problems during the initial period.

The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 update might take some time to reach all the units. We suggest you guys to check for the update by heading to the Settings >> About Phone >> System update menu on your device. Also, make sure you have more than 50% of battery left in your device, it allows to complete the installation procedure without any problem. If possible, connect to astable WiFi network to save some cost using the carrier data.

Xiaomi Mi Max 3 is expected to get the Android Pie, as it packs all the high-end specs needed for an upgrade. Currently, take it as a grain of salt as the update is not confirmed by Xiaomi.

It packs Snapdragon 636 that delivers 40 percent better performance than SD625. There’s 4/6 GB RAM with 64/128 GB internal storage. It carries 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel AI dual camera on teh rear side with 8 megapixel shooter.
