Asus Zenfone 5z to get Android 9.0 Pie soon: Leaks via Geekbench

Asus is quite slow in providing the updates to their smartphones, many devices in the market are rendered without new updates. This time, it’s a chance for Asus Zenfone 5z users to cheer up as it has appeared on Geekbench running the latest Android 9.0 Pie. The device at Geekbench can be the Android 9.0 Pie testing version. Well, whoever has posted the results on Geekbench is running the latest Android alteration, it means somewhere the Asus is developing the Android Pie for Zenfone 5Z. Well, it’s a good news for not only Zenfone 5Z owners, but also for the owners of other Zenfone 5 variants.

As per the listing on the Geekbench, a single unit is running Android 9.0 Pie, presuming, the Asus developer’s team testing it before the public rollout. Usually, it happens for other devices before the actual new update launch, the developer test the device on different benchmarking websites. So, finally it is clear that Asus is testing the Android 9.0 Pie on their devices and we can expect the launch very soon. It is the device that Asus has launched to compete against the OnePlus 6, so we expect the competition in the latest software delivery also.

Asus Zenfone 5Z carries Snapdragon 845 SoC with 6GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage. There’s a 6.2 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 x 2246 pixels. Unlike the OnePlus 6, it carries a microSD card slot allowing you to expand the memory upto 2000GB. It was launched with the Android 8.0 Oreo onboard with 3300mAh battery onboard. Further, Asus has added a 12 megapixel dual camera sensor having f/1.8 aperture. On the front side, Zenfone 5Z packs 8 megapixel sensor having an image aspect ratio of 4:3.

In connectivity it supports Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, USB OTG, FM, 3G and 4G.
