In exactly a month, the Huawei Mate 20 series would have been announced. While we wait, Huawei has been dropping teasers. It released another one today but this time around it is a video.
The video was posted on Weibo but doesn’t show any part of the phone. However, it does tease the arrangement of the rear cameras. The video confirms the next Mate flagship will have a squircle (square with rounded corners) on the back that houses the three cameras along with the LED flash and sensors.
Both the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro are both expected to come with three rear cameras. However, they will have different notch designs in front. The Mate 20 will have a waterdrop notch while the Mate 20 Pro will have a rectangular notch. The Pro version is also expected to pack a bunch of sensors in addition to the front-facing camera within the notch.
Both phones will come with the Kirin 980 processor which promises big improvements in performance, power management, and also machine learning tasks. It will also bring significant improvements to image processing.
