The fourth Thursday of November is usually marked as Thanksgiving Day in the US and this year’s celebration fell on November 22. The Thanksgiving Day holiday isn’t celebrated in China but Xiaomi is trying to leverage on the publicity to sell its smartphones in China. The company is promoting the Mi 8 (8GB RAM + 128GB storage version) with a price cut of 400 yuan. The new price cut may only be valid for only the Thanksgiving Day but we expect Xiaomi to effect further price cuts on this model as well as several others. The device is available on Xiaomi’s official Mi.com website.
