The Moto G series will be adding a new member to its 7th gen models according to new certification details. In adddition to the the Moto G7 Play, the Moto G7, and the Moto G7 Plus, Motorola will also be adding a fourth model called the Moto G7 Power.
The Moto G7 Power has gotten certification in Thailand and the US. The Thai certification agency says the device has model number XT1955-4 and will be commerially known as the the Moto G7 Power. The FCC documents reveal more details.
FCC not only certified a version with the same model number as above but also three more that includes the regions they will launch in. The other versions of the phone have model numbers XT1955-1, XT1955-2, and XT1955-7.
The version with model number XT1955-1 will have Dual-SIM support and launch in Brazil. Model XT1955-2 will come in single and Dual-SIM variants and will be sold in Latin America. The versions with model number XT1955-4 and XT1955-7 are global variants (ROW) and will come in single SIM and Dual-SIM variants. The difference between them is the presence of NFC in the latter.
FCC also reveals the phone is 159mm tall and 76mm wide and measures 167mm diagonally. The Motorola One Power which is 156mm tall and 76mm wide has a 6.2-inch display. Since the dimensions are pretty close, there is a chance the Moto G7 Power will have the same or a slightly larger display.
The domcuments also reveals the phone will have a single rear camera, run Android Pie and pack a 5,000mAh battery.
The Moto E seies is the one known for having a Power variant but Motorola dropped the “Power” suffix in favour of “Plus” in 2017. So there is a possibility the E-series may not adopt the name again now that the G- series has picked it up.
