Huawei is set to announce the Nova 4, its first phone with a hole in its display on December 17. Its sub-brand, Honor, has now announced it will launch its own about a month later in Paris, France.

According to AndroidHeadlines, Honor has confirmed that it will hold a global product launch on January 22 in France. It also revealed the phone will be powered by the Kirin 980 processor, the same chipset inside the Magic 2.

Honor View 20 launch

The poster for the event shows the silhouette of the upper part of a phone with a camera hole in the top left corner. The poster also has the tagline “See The Unseen”.

Honor already confirmed that it is working on successors to the Honor V10 (View 10) and Honor 10, so there is a high chance it is one of these devices. The Honor View 20 should launch this month but Honor confirmed it is being delayed. We believe that delay has led to it being pushed to January.

Apart from having a hole in its display for the front camera and also packing the Kirin 980, we expect the Honor View 20 to also have triple rear cameras and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. This is the V/View series wich usually have LCD displays, so don’t expect an under-display fingerprint scanner.
