Recent reports have revealed that Google is working on budget-friendly versions of Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphones. These devices are to release with Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 XL Lite monikers. Fresh information shared by Android Police reveals that the search engine giant may unleash the Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 XL Lite smartphone in early spring.

Citing information received from a source that is familiar with Google’s plans, the publication has revealed that the Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 XL Lite will be available through Verizon in early spring 2019. This suggests that these handsets may get announced in April or May in the coming year.

In the previous month, the images of the Pixel 3 Lite and its key specifications were revealed by a Russian tech blog. The existence of the Pixel 3 XL Lite was known for the first time when reliable tipster @OnLeaks shared its renders along with Pixel 3 XL.

The Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 XL Lite will be featuring 18.5:9 aspect ratio displays. The Pixel 3 Lite will be a smaller device with 5.5-inch display whereas the Pixel 3 XL Lite could be a bigger phone with 6-inch screen.

Google Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 XL Lite

The Pixel 3 Lite will be fueled by Snapdragon 670 chipset and 4 GB of RAM. Its other specs include12-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel front-facing camera, 32 GB of internal storage, Android 9 Pie OS and 2,915mAh battery. The Pixel 3 XL Lite may feature the same camera sensors that will be available on its smaller sibling. The larger device is rumored to carry a bigger internal storage and battery. Probably, it could be fueled by the Snapdragon 710 chipset.

The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 Lite have respective starting prices of $799 and $899. Hence, there is a possibility that their Lite version could be priced around $400 and $500. In the U.S., the Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 XL Lite will be available through Verizon. These handsets could be also aimed towards emerging markets to expand its presence.
