Xiaomi recently launched its flagship smartphone — Mi 9, which comes with an impressive set of features and specifications given its price tag. While the phone’s demand has been high ever since it went on sale soon after its launch, the company hasn’t been able to meet the supply with demand.

However, the company has been making every efforts to make sure that it manages to meet the demand. It recently revealed that the supply of Mi 9 will certainly exceed 1.5 million units by the end of March.

Now, Xiaomi’s executive has revealed why the company wasn’t able to meet the demand of the Mi 9 smartphone. He says that the issue was with the production of the Mi 9’s rear camera module which features three sensors with the 6P lens, which has a complex system. He adds that the production of the Mi 9 Transparent Edition’s camera module is even more difficult.

However, he said that the Foxconn’s production line for the Mi 9 has sorted out all the issues. It is working in two shifts and is currently able to produce over a million units of the smartphone in a month. Thus, the company will now be able to meet the customer’s demand for Mi 9 from this month.

This news comes on the heels of the announcement from the company which claims that it has sold over 1 million units of Xiaomi Mi 9 flagship smartphone in just a month since its launch in February 2019.
