Huawei P30 Pro, the China-based company’s latest flagship smartphone, has already been launched in several regions. The phone, which is now available for purchase, has passed through all of the physical tests for examining the phone’s build quality.

YouTuber JerryRigEverything made the P30 Pro go through a series of tests and the phone seems to have emerged as a winner. The phone is made of tempered glass and scratches on level 6 and level 7 of the Moh scale in the video.

When put through the scratch test, the phone’s tempered glass is getting scratches at Moh level 6 or 7, which is the norm in flagship grade phones. The phone is made of tempered glass and performed impressively in the bend test as well as it passes through without any cracks on the screen.

The back of the phone seems heavily resistant to scratches, and even the protection over the camera lenses at the back is unaffected to scratches. Then, the phone’s display is also put to fire with a lighter, and the pixels start to turn white and never recover only after 22 seconds of continuous flame.

While the P30 Pro’s display briefly stops working, but it starts working properly again after just one reboot. The display over the in-display fingerprint scanner is also heavily scratched and is working well even after the scratches.

Huawei P30 Pro features a 6.47-inch Full HD+ curved OLED display. The phone doesn’t have an earpiece, instead, it uses Acoustic Display Technology which emits sounds through the display using magnetic levitation.

Under the hood, the device is powered by the company’s own HiSilicon Kirin 980 octa-core processor along with 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. There is support for storage expansion using Huawei’s NM Card.

In terms of the camera configuration, the P30 Pro has four camera sensors on the back panel – a 20MP f/2.2 ultra wide angle lens, a 40MP f/1.6 wide-angle lens, an 8MP f/3.4 5X telephoto, and a ToF depth-sensing camera. For taking selfies, the phone comes with a 32MP sensor with AI HDR+.
