Realme is rolling out a new update to the Realme 3 Pro. The new update brings a bunch of new features to the device as well as the latest security patch.

One of the new features the update brings to the Snapdragon 710-powered smartphone is support for 240fps slow-motion recording. It also brings new apps such as theme store – for downloading new phone themes that include icon packs and wallpapers; App Market – a place to download apps other than the Play Store; and Game Center – another app store but for games. Do note that these apps are only available in some regions.

Some regions will also get a Realme Account feature which should be similar to what you get when you set up a Mi account on Xiaomi devices.

Below is the complete changelog for the update:

System

  • Android Security Patch Level: June 5th, 2019.
  • Add swipe gestures from both sides in navigation mode.
  • Add lock screen magazine function(some regions).
  • Add realme account function(some regions).
  • Fix some bugs.

APP

  • Add app market(some regions)
  • Add theme store(some regions)
  • Add game center(some regions)

Camera

  • Add 240fps slow motion function

Realme has also added a new swipe-based gesture that allows you to navigate the phone when you swipe from the sides. An example is swiping from the bottom left or right of the screen and holding to switch to the previous app. As seen in the image above, this new swipe-based navigation can be turned off in favor of the more familiar on-screen keys or the Android Pie navigation.

The update is rolling out gradually but if you don’t want to wait for the OTA, you can manually download from here and install it. The file size is 2.69GB.

The Realme 3 Pro was released in April. It has a 6.3-inch FHD+ display with a waterdrop notch. Paired with the Snapdragon 710 processor is 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of storage. It has a 16MP + 5MP dual camera setup on its rear while a 25MP camera is in front for selfies. The phone has a fingerprint scanner, a 4045mAh battery, and support for VOOC 3.0 20W fast charging.
