Earlier this year, during the Mobile World Congress 2019 in Barcelona, Spain, Huawei announced the Balong 5000 5G modem as well as the Huawei 5G CPE Pro router. Now, the device is available for reservation in China through JD.com but the pricing details of the same have not been revealed yet.

The Huawei 5H CPE Pro router is powered by the company’s own Balong 5000 chip which supports Sub6G full-band coverage. The device was awarded China’s first 5G wireless data terminal communications equipment license on 10th July, making it the first router in China to support 5G all-net communication.

The router is designed for home as well as medium-sized enterprises to provide high-quality broadband access. With Wi-Fi 6 technology, it can achieve up to 4.8 Gbps speeds as it supports 4G and 5G networks.

As per the company’s claims, it can download 1 GB HD video file in just 3 seconds through 5G. Also, it is the first CPE router from the company to support HiLink, a smart home interconnection platform developed by Huawei.

It comes with dual-height thermal fins and fluid mechanics design, which improves the Huawei 5G CPE Pro’s thermal efficiency by 30 percent, reducing its volume by 45 percent and offers 5G peak performance by 60 percent compared to the previous generation.
