Google has expanded its slate of Android Go apps with a new addition called Gallery Go. The app is technically a lighter version of Google Photos. It was announced in Nigeria alongside a new Android Go phone, the itel S15.

Gallery Go

Gallery Go is less than 10MB in size but its small size doesn’t mean that is the only thing it has going for it. First, it works offline and uses less data too. While it isn’t as feature-rich as Google Photos it can sort your photos automatically. Google says every night, Gallery Go will automatically organize your photos into People, Selfies, Nature, Animals, Documents, Videos, and Movies.

The app also has an auto-enhance feature for your photos and if that doesn’t satisfy you, you can choose from the multiple photo editing tools available. But note that the editing tools are not as advanced as those available on Google Photos but are pretty easy to use.

Gallery Go also has folders and SD card support. So you can decide to arrange your photos in folders and also move photos between your phone’s storage and the MicroSD card.

Google Photos is available to download on Google Play for both Android Go and regular Android devices.
