ZTE’s sub-brand Nubia is all set to launch its new flagship smartphone — Nubia Z20 at a launch event in China on 8th August, i.e. tomorrow. While the company had revealed the launch date earlier, it has now started sending out media invites for the same.

This time, the company has opted to use a booklet style design for the launch event invites. The cover of the booklet has the same design that we saw on the launch date announcement poster shared by the company. It also mentions the launch date and the city for the event on the cover page.

Nubia Z20 Launch Event Invite

For this invitation, Nubia and China Post have launched a new custom stamp which has a face value of 1.2 yuan. On one side, there’s a pattern of “Sun Bird” while on the other hand, there are images of Milky Way and Starry Night taking using the Nubia smartphone.

The invite booklet contains square-shared photo samples printed on one of the pages inside the booklet, highlighting the camera capabilities of the Nubia smartphone. It walks us through the breakthroughs in smartphone photography, including NeoVision engine, creating Lightway Camera, Star Track Mode, Time Lapse Photography, Independent Metering, and Focusing, etc.

Ni Fei, President of the Nubia brand has revealed that the upcoming Nubia Z20 will feature a curved design on the front as well as the back. TENAA listing also confirms Nubia Z20’s design and specs. There will be a 6.42-inch OLED display up front along with another display at the back, again an OLED panel but featuring a smaller 5.1-inch display with a lower HD+ resolution.

The phone continues with the dual fingerprint design from the Nubia X. As for the cameras, the device will come with a triple camera setup at the back, aligned horizontally on top with a dual-tone flash on each side of the setup. The phone is thick at 9mm, which is acceptable given that it has an additional screen at the back and packs a large 3900mAh battery.

Nubia Z20 is expected to bring a flagship-level camera experience, even capable of shooting 8K videos. The company has already shared a few samples from the device and they look beautiful, especially all the landscapes. To know for sure what the phone packs as well as its pricing and availability, we’ll have to wait for a few more hours.
