Vivo recently launched the Vivo S1 mid-range smartphone in the Indian market and soon after the announcement, it started taking pre-orders for the same. Now, the company has started selling the 4GB RAM model of the Vivo S1 in India.

Notably, only the base variant of the phone, which packs 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage is available for purchase through offline stores in India such as Reliance Digital, Poorvika, Big C, Lot, Sangeetha, Croma, and Vijay Sales among others.

In India, the Vivo S1 4GB RAM model is priced at ₹17,990 which roughly converts to $255. The company has also announced a host of launch offers such as 7.5 percent cashback on HDFC Bank debit and credit card EMI transactions, and benefits worth ₹10,000 for Reliance Jio subscribers. There is also an assured Paytm cashback when using Paytm for purchasing the Vivo S1 from retail outlets, and an additional 10 percent exchange value on Instacash.

The Vivo S1 flaunts a 6.38-inch Super AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch, an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and the screen produces Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. It is equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Powering the smartphone is the MediaTek Helio P65 octa-core processor, which is coupled with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and comes with 128GB of native storage. There is a dedicated microSD card on the device for expanding its storage capacity.

The phone comes fitted with a vertical triple camera unit that includes a Sony IMX499 16-megapixel main lens with f/1.78 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens with f/2.2 aperture and 120-degree of field-of-view and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The front notch of the Vivo S1 has a 32-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture.

It is pre-loaded with FunTouch OS 9 skinned Android 9 Pie operating system and for the enhanced gaming experience, the device also offers Ultra Game Mode. The Vivo S1 gets a big battery of 4,500mAh capacity that carries support for 18W dual-engine fast charging.
