Vivo has confirmed that the company will be unveiled its anticipated next-gen NEX series smartphone — Vivo NEX 3 later this month in China. While some of the features of the upcoming smartphone are already known, a new leak reveals the phone’s full set of specifications ahead of its launch.
The specifications of the Vivo NEX 3 and the NEX 3 5G are almost same, expect for the support of 5G connectivity. The smartphones feature a 6.89-inch Waterfall display offering a screen resolution of 2256 x 1080 pixels and will reportedly offer 99.6 percent screen-to-body ratio, which is really impressive.
It will also come with an in-display fingerprint sensor for added security. Under the hood, the devices are powered by the newly launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus octa-core processor. The NEX 3 5G comes with Snapdragon X50 chip that enables 5G connectivity on the smartphone.
On the back side, the smartphones feature a triple-camera setup which includes a 64-megapixel primary sensor, coupled with two other camera sensors having 13-megapixel resolution. On the front side, both the phones will feature a 16-megapixel snapper for taking selfies and video calling.
The smartphone will come equipped with 8GB and 12GB of RAM and three options for internal storage — 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. The company has decided to retain the 3.5mm headphone jack and the phone will be powered by a 4,500mAh battery along with 44W fast charging support.
While the September arrival of the Vivo NEX 3 series smartphones is confirmed, the company is yet to reveal the specific launch date. Hopefully, the exact unveil date will be confirmed in the coming days.
