Xiaomi has officially announced that the Mijia negative ion portable hairdryer will go on crowdfunding sales at 10 AM on September 4. The device comes with a retail price of 99 yuan ($13) but the crowdfunding price is only 79 yuan ($11).
The MIJIA Negative Ion Portable Hair Dryer looks like the cheapest of all the hairdryers Xiaomi has launched to date. A couple of months back, the Zhibai three-layer hydrating hair dryer was launched on crowdfunding, priced at 799 yuan ($115). But this version costs a lot less than that. 
Specification-wise, the gadget is also a decent setup. The MIJIA portable hairdryer uses a high-performance high-speed motor with a speed of up to 18000rpm and wind speed of up to 12m/s. It uses a 6-wing fan blade. The hair dryer comes with two wind speeds.
The device also comes with a built-in negative ion generator which instantly generates tens of millions of negative ions which are released to the hair outer layer. The negative ion neutralizes static electricity, smooth the hair, closes the scales so that the hair is as soft and shiny as the needed.
In terms of design, the surface of the MIJIA Negative Ion Portable Hair Dryer is designed with a warm matte finish, which is gentle and delicate, and foldable for easy storage. It is lightweight and portable.
